Love the green checkered and sky blue. Think I prefer the black and white bow tie on page 11. I also love the red and pink roses on Whats New. Decisions decisions :)

I obviously have way too much time on my hands - but I need a hand narrowing it down to 2, 3 at the most collars from this site...

http://www.rhinestonedogcollars.net/index.html

My top 5 for my kids are

Pg 7 Aqua candy heart (without the heart)

Pg 11 Green Checkered

Pg 11 Black and white bow tie

Pg 12 B & W bow tie

Pg 14 Sky blue

any suggestions on which would look spiffy???

Does anyone who trains anything ever hit a patch where you feel so unmotivated to train and dont have any enthusiasm for it anymore? I am in a rut, I know we have so much to work on but i have no motivation to fix any of it as the task seems daunting...

Yikes if you feel like that then your poor dog probably does as well.

YOu need to have a lesson with somebody - will definitely help with the motivation and the movement forward. Alternatively, see if you can catch up with somebody to train with one night each week. Best if it is somebody who knows more than you do.

Yep sure do Mason2009 - have had a little patch of that recently I think  . Agree with what Ptolomy has said though. Helps if you can plan to catch up with somebody a little more knowledgeable then yourself for a training session.

I have to make do with hassling my somebody more knowledgeable online - but think its working a little I am feeling a little more motivated ;) . To the extent of even making plans this weekend to go and help somebody else who is having a few issues  . Its been a while since I have felt motivated enough to go out and train on a weekend.

mirawee, hope Varda is ok!!!! Silly dogs. Millie screams in pain going #2's as well if she's had too many bones, so she doesn't get them much now

The bones I can understand... it is the rocks that have me shaking my head

Varda is back at the vet today as she is still not a happy puppy. If I was at home I would just keep an eye on her but since she would be left alone for 8+ hours I decided I would relax more if I knew the vet was keeping an eye on her  Mum dropped her off for me and apparently she was not impressed at all about having a second day at the vet ;)

Yes I often feel like this lately, not sure what's wrong with me. I went to training last night not really feeling it, so decided to just do some easy stuff, with lots of click and treat to keep my motivation up as well as the dogs. Ended up having a really good session

Yay boxagirl! He is looking super handsome and his coat is immaculate! Is he still showing?

Thanks Valley- he seems to finally be maturing and bulking up, and his coat has come realllly nice now, hardly sheds! :D I cant believe how big Lincoln has got! ;) He was only tiny last time I saw him! He's looking great!

Yep we show most weekends, have a show this weekend i think ;) And then I'm going away so going to miss all the shows we have entered  (Including the hills kennel club, which I really wanted to show in- coz the prize is a Houndstooth studio voucher- and Bondi is on the gift voucher!!! )

Yay! Go the Sibes!

Although she will probably bring the out of coat and naked Rumour who looks hideous at the moment, just because she hasnt been out in awhile!

I hate it when I lose motivation :o . I think for me it comes from comparing myself to what others are doing/have achieved with their dogs and feeling like I'll never get there and lately I've just had too much of a puppy brain to think about much else :( . I just take a break for a week or so then I feel super motivated to get back into it and sometimes I'll just work on fun shaping exercises etc so we're still training but I'm not putting any pressure on myself I guess. I know I could never go back to obedience classes, I shudder at the thought, so if obedience is something I want to do I'll drive to K9 on Mondays but my focus is agility at the moment(RS is probably thinking heard this before  ) and when I start putting pressure on myself I think hey this is a fun hobby I do with my dogs, at the end of the day I just want to enjoy the time spent with my dog :( . Sorry for the ramble :) .

I know how poor Mason must feel, I think that I am asking him to do things incorrectly and then getting frustrated when he does not 'get' the exercise or what I am asking him. Going to class does not seem to help as they do stuff that I know how to do already. I am trying to get him to play tug and do back end awareness and I am getting a great big fail on both things. I want to compete but I feel that I dont have the skills and the know how to teach and motivate my dog, maybe I am not cut out to compete.

Yeah I get what you are saying, at the moment Mason is more eager to go and fetch his frisbee than do any obedience or shaping so I guess I will leave it for awhile, 3rd time this year that we have taken a break - what scares me is that one day I think I may just be on a permanent break :o:) I think it would be easier if I went for lessons - just need to find someone who teaches who is not miles away from me.
