What is this behave paste stuff??? Sounds interesting!

There is a thread I started on DOL under Troy behave paste

Hey Rubystar - its a vitamin paste for pathetic, anxious doggys who dont like being away from their mummy :laugh:  ...........Well thats what I use it for anyway :cheer:

Seriously though, its used to treat anxiety in dogs and horses and contains Vit B's, L-tryptophan and Vit E and a couple of other things I think. My silly girl doesnt like going away from home and having to socialise with other dogs and humans and gets very stressed  . So Im hoping this will help her in some way!

"behave paste" - what's this? I need some for one of mine!

Washa

Great stuff WX!!

I "think" Zola is slightly better - wont really know until I take her somewhere where there are other dogs and humans, but I will be waiting for a couple of weeks before I do that to her!!

Tonight Im going to add an egg and some olive oil to her dinner, then over the next few days introduce some oats also and see if that improves it any more!

Troy (brand name) Behave Paste. Available at most horse type stores like Europa etc......

You know how Zola is at shows Washa - total avoidance of interaction with anyone except me! Well shes like this at obedience classes, the Funday and even walking with my friend and her dogs!!!

I finally worked out that she is most probably suffering from Social Anxiety as well as SA ( )

She has only been on it for two days, but I am certain I have noticed a small improvement!! See above post.

I also need to do some training with her as well to change her behaviour, and Im sure it will be easier with the paste as well!!

Oh, BTW - the RR website is looking Good

RS I would apply for the job but I stay way too far... I just saw that they want someone who has had previous experience in a role looking after animals so I dont meet the criteria.

I used to use a similar paste on my horse and it does work.

If anyone is interested, there is a job on Seek at the moment for a kennel hand for quarantine. Get in there, get that job, and make a difference to these poor confined dogs lives!!!

Edit: I can't believe that the dogs are not given free run unless you're there to do it yourselves

i saw this the day it was advertised and would love to apply excwept i can currently only work nights whilst my hubby is on compo

With the Behave paste it only works on animals that are lacking those animo acids, vitamins, etc in their diet

And since someone the other day told me that the only one of my horses they knew the name of was Diva since she was the only one I talk about I thought I would introduce Raven as well  She is a rising 2yo Anglo Arabian (Arab x Thoroughbred) who had her first show today

Thanks guys  We think she is pretty special... but then we think all of our ponies are pretty special

Emery, Raven is not quite 2yo yet so she isn't broken in (won't be for another 18 months). So she was just entered in led breed classes... similar to dog shows except that the judge doesn't put their hands on the horse  Oh and dying to enhance colour is openly done (not that Raven has been dyed).

And she was a loser at the show today (although at least she was beaten by a quality horse) She behaved well once she got over her initial shock of seeing so many other horses though so that was the main thing

Oh Raven is exquisit.

Brings back memories

Getting up at 4am

Washing

Plaiting

hooves

Makeup - for the horse

Tack up - warm up

Grab a bite to eat if you have a spare minute

Thems were the days.

Although I was silly enough to have a Palomino with three long white socks and a rather large Blaze!

Extra scrubbing for those socks, and the hoof black had to be perfect!

Happy birthday Rubystar !! Hope you got my text earlier. Let us know how the retrieving training day went. I would have loved to do it but with Masons test results showing that he is allergic to grass, plant and tree pollens I dint think it would be fair of me to do retrieving with him when it is mainly in the bush . Will give the immunotherapy 6-9 months and if he is improved maybe we can look into it then.
