Amypie - i got the 35inch in the end.. I have to say it looks very big when she is curled up tight with her head on the edge BUT when she lies spread out it is perfect. The edges are quite bulky, so the inner bed is not HUGE, if that makes sense?!?! Her old bed was a cheapy and had been stitched up twice where she had decided to have a gave of trying to defluff it, so we were in need LOL

WHY cannot i just not look the other way? I now have yet another dog in my back garden that does not belong to me. I went for a coffee with a friend after school drop off and when she brought me back to my car I saw and recognised a very cute pomeraniunX trotting about looking very pleased with himsef a street back from his house. I know this dog as I have helped his owners hunt for him before. They rescued him from the pound and have trouble with him escaping. He has such a gorgeous nature, and is trained. I said Max? when i saw him and he came bounding up to me. BUT, they weren't home, so now i am stuck with said dog who is a boy and is delighting in peeing on everything in the back garden. He had no name tag, but I got their number from his council tag after ringing council. Unfortunately all stuck at work. They were so appreciative, but told me they will pay the council fine and to just take him there as they cannot get him right now. They were so nice about it and he is such a lovely dog, I told them i will keep him till their son gets home after school. Problem is i don't want to leave the two dogs alone and cannot separate them out back. I will have to lock Rosie in when i go get my own kids from school and then they have swimming.......... SO didn't need this today!! I had some things i needed to get done but cannot leave the house now. ahh well. I would hope that someone would do the same for my dog.

My husband cannot understand why i wouldn't just leave the 2 dogs together and go out!!!! I am not mad am i?

No I've decided I really don't need a bed, I need a soft crate much more!

ETA: I wouldn't leave them alone either RFT. You never know what could happen.

About to take him home now, son will be home from school shortly, mum cannot get away from work.

Have discovered he is entire - would this make him more predisposed to want to escape and roam? or would it make no difference to give him the chop now that he has a taste for it? He is a lovely dog and obviously well looked after, but has an escaping problem. The owner was shocked, she thought the place was now done up to be like Alcatraz. He had sandy feet and tummy so think he may have dug under and out.

RosieFT it would make him more predisposed initially to want to roam, but after being desexed it's hit and miss as to whether this would change... even so, perhaps you could tell the owners that it is possible he might stop wanting to roam if he was desexed... say there are no guarentees but it mightjust help!

Hi Guys - Duke is going to be on the sidelines this week due to an infected foot - but he will come along and wait in the car and have some short walks before and after classes. It's going to make Kate's week, she loves classes!

Duke and Kate are lovely! I was impressed with Duke playing with Ivy :(

The harness that Duke had one, does it have a special name?

Its made by the same people who make gentle leader head collars - check with the instructors next week, the club has them for sale. It suits Duke really well, as he has the type of neck that flat collars slip off, and for some reason collars around his neck cause him stress. My aim in life is to diminish his stress levels as this keeps him calm(er).

And I luuv the way Ivy played with him - its always been difficult to find dogs big enough and playful enough to play on an equal playing field with the poor boy!

See you next week,

ChristineX

anyone showing this friday/saturday?

We'll be there both days I am a bit excited its been a few months since Charlie has been in the ring and i have spent the last few weeks working his coat back to show condition and he is looking pretty good!

Ari looks the same as normal - it takes the fun out of it when their coat looks the same! She did hurt her foot last night so i am hoping that is healed by the weekend... she grazed it chasing a rabbit and stumbling over a bush onto the road :crossfingers:
