2SBT's
hi guys, i know this has been done, but i know nothing about cameras, exept point and shoot. So OH has decided he is going to buy me a camera for xmas to replace our 'kodak' c310 digital, that we have for years. Now having spent an hour reading, i still have no idea on what to get. He is not wanting to spent over $1000, i would like something easy to use, (i have no idea about settings) and with only one lens for now, until i get the hang of it! It doesn't matter what brand. J.H.M
I am no expert but I just bought a panasonic fz 35, basically had it explained to me its a step before a DSLR, so far its been pretty easy to use, it is 12 megapixel 18x optical zoom pretty sure is 34mm wide angle, and other bells and whistles which I havent worked out what they do yet, like if you have a panasonic plasma you can use the vierra link to play your slide show or any video you shoot (it shoots in HD apparently) http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/FZ35/FZ35A.HTM this is a review dunno if it helps. Ravyk
I am no expert but I just bought a panasonic fz 35, basically had it explained to me its a step before a DSLR, so far its been pretty easy to use, it is 12 megapixel 18x optical zoom pretty sure is 34mm wide angle, and other bells and whistles which I havent worked out what they do yet, like if you have a panasonic plasma you can use the vierra link to play your slide show or any video you shoot (it shoots in HD apparently)http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/FZ35/FZ35A.HTM this is a review dunno if it helps. I have the one just down from the FZ35, the FZ28. Great camera and almost identical to the 35 [except on the 35 you can film for longer] and its 10 MP not 12. The fz28 is a really good camera, and when I got it I literally just picked it up and started shooting with it. The menus are very easy to use and read too. 18X optical zoom, I think its also 34mm wide angle, shake correction, face recognition, subject tracking...lots of cool bits and pieces. If you are interested in some test shots I did with it, follow the link: http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...=172212&hl= The fz28 retails at around 700 in store but you can get them online down to about 450-500. Also you would be hard pressed to find the fz28 in stores now, when we bought ours, we got the last one in all the Harvey Norman stores in Adelaide save the demo camera.
