Tay.
Trial on Saturday night at SADOC, will it be cancelled cos of the heat?
ness
Nope any trial scheduled to commence after 6pm is not effected by the SACA heat policy, the SAODC trial is scheduled to commence at 7pm so the trial will go ahead as scheduled. I know when they had an earlier start time of 6pm they would occasionally delay the start of the trial until the temperature had dropped. Just have to hope your lucky enough to be in after 8pm when it should be ok. Least its one of the more shaded grounds around the place. Dova
Don't know what it's been like in Adelaide but in the Bridge a coolish breeze has come up at about 3pm each day & by 7 it's been livable so hopfully the breeze will be back Saturday arvo. Can I ask you all a favour for Saturday pleeeeeze, could you for me & Pebbles, we've been working very hard this week, after dark, to try & pass our second novice leg, don't need to win or anything just pass , see you all then . Bully
This is from the Dogs SA website SA Obedience Dog Club Inc Obedience Trial A decision will be made at scheduled start of 7.00 pm that if the temperature is excessive at that time, the trial will be delayed 1 hour to commence at 8.00 pm. Check-in and vetting to remain at 6.00 pm to 6.45 pm as scheduled.
Bully
I've got Pele entered in her first Open trial on Saturday Yeah, I had a mad moment and decided because I'd be there working why not enter her and have some fun I planned on putting in 3 weeks of work into her, but then she tore a dew claw and now the hot weather so we've done zip. Think I'll probably leave her home because of the heat
Tay.
I think we're going to really embarrsss ourselves at this trial. Just had to remind Jess, how to finish, seems she 'forgot'. Heeling isn't gonna happen, I don't think Oh could be an interesting night...

ness
at least I can tell you there are a truckload of novice dogs entered so you have a good chance of being on much later when it cooled.

Zug Zug
Oh no! I assumed it was cancelled because of the heat. I must have read the wrong part of the magazine - I thought it said it would have to be cancelled. Oh well - air conditioning at home was nice I guess. Hardly any more trials coming up. Unless we trial on New Year's Eve, I think we have to wait until March now
ness
Trials scheduled after 6pm or in air conditioned circumstances go ahead regardless of the temperature. They pushed the start time back until 7:30pm. Only day time trials are the ones effected by the heat policy. Having said that there were plenty of scratchings.
