If Only It Was This Easy......

hehe - I have to share this - I'm sitting here watching an obedience DVD - chris Bach for those interested.

talking about UD exercises and the scent work. Zara is sitting about 2 inches from the TV, staring INTENTLY at the TV and moving her head every time a person steps in front of her view of the articles and the dog....

Now.... if only she retains this information......

My friend and trainer has very nice left turns on his young dog, I asked "how did you teach X those tights turns' his reply was we both watched the DVD. :D

If only my dogs had better DVD comprehension. :D

Ness learnt dog in a box by watching a dog at training. Kenzie has learnt all Ness's freestyle tricks in a matter of minutes by copying Ness :) .What got me though was that Kenzie was doing them first time and better the Ness and that was only after watching Ness for 30 seconds or so :D .

Rommi - I'm not sure.... Leo and Kinta fall asleep too...... :cheer:

Although 'big and brave' Leo decided to wake up and bark and viciously growl at the TV one night when he was a pup and we were watching the butterfly affect... Funnily enough it was happening when the kids were burning the dog, or about to :D

Mum said the movie was too scary for such a young dog and to put him outside :D

Right now I'm reading 'The Art of Racing in the Rain' so going by what the dog says in it, Leo et al may be watching exactly what's going on. They may just be more interested in other programs lol.

That is a lovely book.

Years ago I teaching one of my younger dogs to crawl. My old dog was sitting back watching, she was too old to bother with much by then. But on this occasion she must have gotten annoyed by how long the other dog was taking to learn the trick. I'd never taught her to crawl, but just from watching me teach him she suddenly sprung up from the bed, crawled over to me at speed, gave the other dog a triumphant look and went back to her bed. I nearly wet myself laughing.
