Baby Dragon
I always have trouble trimming around my Lab x Poodle's paw pads. I saw the Stylique Pet Trimmer advertised http://www.thebarfshop.com.au/shop/product...027b13f7778e668 Does anyone have one and are they good? Or is there anything else that can help me trim around paw pads? I normally try to scissor them but it's really difficult and I'm worried about getting the webbing between the paw pads. poodlefan
If you own a decent set of clippers, buy a toe blade for them... much better in the long run than a small trimmer.

poodlefan
Yep. Mine's an Oster blade. The main thing to remember clipping feet is not to stretch them out too far and to avoid the webbing between toes. I clip both top and bottom of the poodles paws. Baby Dragon
Thanks guys. I can't believe I didn't know these existed. I've been struggling for 2 1/2 years with normal clipper blades and scissors What length of toe blades do you recommend (assuming there are different lengths?) I'm not going for looks, just for it to be practical and avoid grass seeds.

ETA: What brand blades are compatible with your clippers? Edited October 19, 2009 by poodlefan
Baby Dragon
Oster is compatible. I don't know about any others. I got my clippers 2nd hand 2 years ago... I just found this, but it's really cheap so I'm wondering if it's any good http://www.oztion.com.au/buy/auction.aspx?itemid=8759181
poodlefan
I'd stick with Oster. The other thing about blades as opposed to trimmers is that blades can be sharpened. Trimmers are more disposable.
