Ravyk
What are people's thoughts/experiences with the Nutro Natural Choice range? I got a sample today [thankyou yellowgirl and her shop!] and my dogs loved it! Just wanted a few people's thoughts on it before I consider starting them on it. They currently are not on a dry food [just raw].
Tilly
I fed our boys on the Nutro for a while and they had never been so shiny and healthy ... then we got a "bad" batch. Their urine became very smelly ... so we stopped feeding it immediately and never went back.
dancinbcs
I feed raw but have friends that swear this is the best dog food they have ever used. Out of curiosity I tried my dogs on a small quantity of it and they loved it. I have one who will not eat any dog food or dog treats unlessit is just dried liver, etc. Even he would eat the Nutro Natural Choice. I have also managed to find out that it is made in Australia with all local ingredients except for the rice, that comes from Asia.
Stitch
I feed raw (BARF) and I also add Nutro (Lamb) to the mix. Dogs are all doing well and their poos are still firm and dry which is important. Even my pregnant & fussy girl eats the Chicken Nutro but won't eat the lamb at the moment. I am not really keen on feeding dry but I haven't had any problems with Nutro. The guy in the petfood shop yesterday said that Nutro is made by the same people that make Royal Canin, which I thought was interesting. Nutro is made by the company that makes Advance, which is Pedigree (PAL). I also feed Evo in special instances, Evo is a grain free food and very highly concentrated and rather expensive but the dogs really love it! Sagittarian
The guy in the petfood shop yesterday said that Nutro is made by the same people that make Royal Canin, which I thought was interesting.Nutro is made by the company that makes Advance, which is Pedigree (PAL). Nutro is owned (looking at parent companies) by Mars, which also owns Advance and Royal Canin. Royal Canin though, is manufactured in France as a virtual stand alone company. Now that Nutro is made in Australia, its formulas have altered from their previous form, some more than others. Sags
CavsRcute
I have started my girl on the "lite" Lamb formula and she is going really and her poos are small and firm. She also gets meat and veges. The girl at the pet shop said that is a new formula as the old one smelt like play doh
chuckie500
I have tried the lamb and rice one. Mine love it too. They seem harder biscuits and this encourages them to chew more. I think the stool volume is greater though. This forms only a portion of their diet. I even use it as a treat.
