I even had a magazine contacting me and saying the initial photos they took of him were too dark and I had to send my own off to him. So you did really well. They're more of a slowly wade in from the shore kinda dogs...! I'd love to come and watch training though... And try my hand at taking (crappy) photos!?! Would they let the general public come watch? whatevah Posted October 25, 2009 Share Posted October 25, 2009 I found a way of getting my dogs to do the jump, is to first get the dog excited about retrieving on land, then get them excited about retrieving in water. Then get them pumped about retrieving in water, and go to a very small bank and have the dog a long way away, then the dog is running so fast, that they don't put the brakes on in time and jump in.
