Kissindra
Vet is concerned over Boo's eyes, looks like early signs of cataracts, so we need to make a specialist appointment. They've reccomended the specialist centre at Albany Creek, if anyone has any info about them or other recommendations I'd be glad to hear them

Elfin
Both Anna Deakin and Edith Hampson have very good reputations. I cannot remember where their clinic is.. (quite sure it is north of the river). I will find out tomorrow for you.

Kissindra
How old is she Kissindra?? Boo is only 2 and a bit years old. We'd noticed a cloudy area 3 weeks ago in his right eye and so this was the follow up appointment to look at that, the cloudy area hasn't gotten any worse so he thinks that is nothing to worry about but he got a better look at his eyes this time and noticed some early cataract signs, something about deep in the pupil it kind of looks like broken glass when the light is shined into it? Definately sounds like early cataract. I hope it all works out for you and Boo.

Asalei
We've used the specialist centre at Albany Creek for Sally's cherry eye operation. They were very nice and informative when we dealt with them. They even took Leia in for the day to keep Sally company. I'm pretty sure we saw Anna Deykin at BVSC and we also saw her for the follow up. When we saw her a few years ago, she only worked a few days a week. We chose BVSC as they were half the price of AES's, but still a specialist. Sorry to hear about Boo, he's not having a good time lately is he? Hugs to him and you. poodle proud
I'm not sure about eyes but have had two dogs at the albany creek specialist centre, 1 for a tumour and 1 for an emergency. They were thorough and sooo lovely. They cried when there was nothing more they could do for my childhood dog. They rang when they said they would ring and they bent over backwards when my pet insurance company 'lost' my original claim documentation. I can't fault them for anything. Hope your little one is ok PP.
Kissindra
PP that is very reasuring to hear, after talking to Boo's breeder we've made an appointment to see Anna Deykin this Wednesday, so we'll know soon what the verdict is Boo is happy as ever and I've been able to stop worrying a bit once we had an appointment date set so I'm just going to hope for the best!
