Tilly
My boys have red eyes from the annoying dusty. I have been using warm water to wipe around their eyes and just plain fresh water wash their eyes .... can I use something like "Refresh"? I took one dog to the vet today (for their weekly weigh-in) and they suggested saline ... I thought saline was about the same as salt water - would that be a better option? Many Thanks
persephone
cold black tea ( or slightly warm) use several times a day, just dribble into one corner of the eye like normal drops.. or use it as a flush.. It is gentle and does help we use it a lot here with 'dusted' dogs!
Dogsfevr
Liquid tears gel is great, gel is better as it lasts longer. Chemist sells it
Elfin
Viscotears (a gel), cheap from the chemist or bathe with cold Calendula tea (available from health food store). I wouldn't bother with saline. Refresh Tears is OK. All the best.

I also use it on my mare when the flies irritate her eyes in the summer.
Tilly
I will try the tea first up ... his eyes are looking really sore. He is proving to be a little difficult with the whole process of trying to clean his eyes up...
