My guys get plenty of raw chicken. My team are on Power (the Whippet) and Medium/Large Breed (even though they are small) Seniors.

I put mine on Ziwipeak after they didn't do well on Artemis and the protein is greater than 30% - much higher than any dry food I've seen before. They are now on a prescription diet of Eukaneuba to fix their gut issues. Much to my simultaneous delight and disgust they are doing well. According to the studies.. not much unless you have a dog with existing kidney issues. But I'm not feeding kibble to get more protein into the dog - I'm feeding it to balance out an otherwise raw diet.

I can't help you on the pregnancy side (not a breeder) but the Whippet is doing well on it. The issue with him is keeping weight on, not off. I'd not feed it to a dog that needs to watch its weight.. I'd probably opt for the normal Fresh Mix.

The mud monkey doesn't like it at all; eats raw chicken, but won't touch this, even if I add sardines or a few pieces of dried liver to the bowl to try to get the eating started. Lucky we have a guzzle guts as well who hoovers it up the same as any other.
Guest belgian.blue
I started my girl on adult fresh yesterday. Well she is still weaning off her previous dry. She goes nuts over them, so they are hit. We will just see how her body goes on it .. Her poo today was very nice from having just over a handful of Artemis last night

Akay
My dogs loved the taste of it, but their stools were very soft. They drank heaps of water compared to the raw diet they were on, and the dog with the heart condition (mitral valve) coughed and coughed and coughed from it. I think it was bloating him because of the excess water consumption, which put pressure on his enlarged heart, which put pressure on his trachea. Once I took him off the food he stopped coughing. I honestly thought he was on the way out, it was pretty distressing. I'm back to the raw diet and everything is going fine. Sorry I couldn't give you all positive feedback on the product. I had the dogs on the grain-free mix and they did love the taste.
Staff'n'Toller
I think the ingredients were great, I tried 2 of mine on it and the poo was soft for some time but seemed to fix itself. I was feeding maximal. One of the dogs was looking great on it but my other girl started to refuse it when I was halfway thru a big bag, and this dog never refuses anything. I already have one dog on prescription food so I draw the line at 3 x different foods for 3 dogs.
poocow
I feed Maximal to my two boys and found it great. Darcy can't have grain so its one of the few dry foods available for him. Considering he is a fuss-pot, the fact he eats it speaks volumes! He doesn't get a lot of dry, as PF its mostly to ensure hes getting the correct nutrients as he is fed mostly raw. Top just gets it because I can't be bothered having 3 different foods for 3 dogs... I tried my pup on Artemis Puppy and it didn't agree with her - my suspicion was the lack of beet pulp that is many other foods used as a filler. I've got her on EP which she is doing great on. If you are happy to include some quality grains in your dogs diets then you could choose the Fresh Mix Adult. You could even alternate between the 2 diets. I also wanted to mention that the single, most common cause of softer stools that a few dogs have experienced when eating Artemis is caused by over feeding. Simply cutting back 1/4 to 1/2 a cup per day alleviates the problem. The fact that Beet Pulp is not included in the Artemis range should not be a factor, Beet Pulp is a moderately fermentable fibre that is added to give bulk to the stools, Artemis chooses to use chicory root instead of beet pulp which is also a moderately fermentable fibre and prebiotic to promote digestive health but will still promote smaller firmer stools. I hope this info helps.
