PuppysMum
G'Day all, I am new to the forum *waves*. Thanks to a couple of you for pointing me in the direction of this forum, it is awesome! Hubby and I have two furbabies, Sydney the Blue Heeler, (9.5) and Boston the B&W Border Collie (3.5). I know dock diving is new to Oz - just wondering if there is anyone in QLD who does it or who knows of a way we can try to bring it up here to QLD? Sydney's favourite thing to do of ALL TIME is to run and jump into and swim in water - so she has, as I put it, unofficially been dock diving for many years lol. I was happy to see there is a veteran's class. Boston will do it too - but mainly because she just wants to copy her big sis (she is a bit of a belly flopper at times haha). I live in Brisbane. Thanks heaps all!
MolassesLass
As far as I know there is just a few people in Sydney who are doing dock diving in this country. I'm sure they want to build it up but for now there's nothing. For the upcoming World Dog Games they have put together a team by calling for try-outs rather than already having people so it may not even be running in Sydney yet. Your biggest hurdle in getting something started here will of course be finding facilities.
whatevah
I was at a training session and the trainer from Hanrob training said there was someone in Queensland who trained for 6 hours a day doing it. I think an exaggeration but you could contact them and see.
