k9rule
Hi Was just wondering what people thought, Rang to book my baby in for his 12week needle, and the vet said that they do c5 shots. It is not going to cost any more than a c3 or c4 But I am wondering if a c5 is a bit much for a 12 week old pup I'm probably being silly, but wanted to ask anyway
WreckitWhippet
We only ever use c3 for every vaccination. We don't board our dogs and given that Kennel Cough is basically the common cold for dogs, there's little point vaccinating against it.
puggy_puggy
Many puppies are given C5 for their 12 and 16 week vaccination.
Addicted2gold
My puppies get the c3 and kennel cough up the nose at 12 weeks. According to my vet if a C5 vacc is given you have to go back for a booster at 16weeks (as the kennel cough requires a booster). When given up the nose that is it for 12months. All vets have different opinions & I have had puppy buyers tell me their vets won't administer the kennel cough up the nose, so they ahev to go back for the 3rd vaccine. My adult dogs get the C5 vaccine. I don't board my dogs either but just incase a accident happens and they have to go to kennels I would prefer them to be ready to be taken in straight away. k9rule
Thank you for the responses with all the different things out at the moment about vaccinations it’s a bit confusing
luvsdogs
Tilba got her 1st 2 vaccinations while she was with the breeder & I think my vet gave the C7 for her 12 week vac. I know she got C7 for her 1st annual vac. which for the 1st time is the 3 yr vac except for kennel cough with is still yearly.
