Vickie, great shots, especailly the rainbow one, the horse on the left looks like he is about to walk out of the picture. :D

I especially like it when posters have a story behind the pic, like the thought process that went into taking the picture or how it come about.

Jules Beautiful shots, I love Pelicans!!

Heres mine for today, I took the dogs out for a run and took the camera, I took so many pics (327 to be exact :D ) and it was just as I was on my way home that I looked at this particular road in a different light, It is a road right near my place and I drive past it every day.

Here is 3 different perspectives of the same track.

Thanks tlc !

Most of my pics have stories behind them, which I usually write about in the description part of my flickr uploads  I just don't want to clog up the thread with them all :D

OMG Jules, that pelican shot literally took my breath away. It is magnificent.

I love your road tlc, each shot offers something different but they are all very appealing. I think the last is my favourite as you can really see the incline, rises & falls in the road.

Thanks Guys!! I like the comments and I also like to comment, I think it gives us great incentive to do the best job we can!! Jules you are so right, I am always looking at things differently now and mores so becasue of the challenges and have taken shots of things I never would have before. All the first ones I took today I thought they would be great but I looked at them and they were so ho hum I was really dissapointed, and the ones I just snapped werent to bad, go figure??? :D

JS, I hardly ever use the tripod, I know I should for landscapes but I havent so far only for long exposure shots. I do find the tripod awekward and it annoys me if I want the camera to be a different angle etc, so hand held works better for me, as you can probly tell from my shots from today the camera is actually on the ground for two of them, so i will improv if I have anything around to sit the camera on instead of a tripod.

Look forward to seeing your shots, Ive only ever been to Adelaide once and the Adelaide Hills were pretty cool If I remember correctly (I was 15 at the time) I bet your shots are great!!

No idea. All I know is that it was south of Adelaide.

Alex says that Maslins Beach sounds about right... :D

I was thinking either Maslins or silversands beach...possibly Aldinga

Looking at the landscape - I think Ashanalis is from further south - second valley, or normanville (around that area anyway). Still the Fleurieu Peninsula.

This isn't perfect - but a slightly different type of landscape anyway. One stictched, the other not

India v Zimbabwe twenty20 game (the first one in oz) - back before zimbabwe got kicked out of cricket...
