I don't think you can be talking about a Frangipani as they do not make fruit or nuts. Can any other neighbours tgell you what the tree really is?

Could be a Kumquat tree, has a similar leaf. Does it have yellow fruit with several large brown seeds inside.

I eat the fruit but I am not sure about the seeds if dogs have eaten them.

Maybe check the droppings for seeds digested or whole.

sounds like a Loquat tree, what colour is the fruit ?

take a sample to a plant nursery & keep the dogs inside or locked away until you find out if its toxic.

Kumquats are just like little oranges.

If its rose apple, they look a bit like like loquat but has a single seed, dont let the dogs eat them, the seeds toxic.
