Nanango (qld) Et Test On Sunday

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi All

Just wondering if any fellow QLD DOLers are entered in the Nanango ET test on Sunday? We will be there with our 2 Amstaffs, praying that our training over the last few months has been enough, and more so I will be hoping that I personally can survive the 20ks on a push bike

If any of you who have completed your tests already in NSW or VIC have any pointers or tips, I'm all ears!!!

Cheers

Mell

Hi Mell

I've entered and I hope we survive our ride too!!! This is the second dog I've trained for an ET, my first was Jaffa (Golden Retriever). See you on Sunday....

Congrats to those who have just completed their ET. Benson and I did ours in July, after 6 months of training. I had to learn to ride a bike first, then teach him to run beside it. When we finished the ET, I walked on air. It was a fantastic feeling, I was so proud of my boy and so pleased with our efforts. And he looks wonderful with letters after his name!

Enjoy the feeling of accomplishment. I'll be doing it again next year with Dusty.

Congrats everyone!! So glad our local club now holds an ET. We used to travel to Grafton to run our dogs, now it's only an hour away.

OH did his usual fantastic job with our dogs (while I stayed home in bed and came in later with the kids!!) He tells me I have to do it next year :(

Our GSD Sharmaine ran well and was complimented by the vet. Apparently her heart rate hardly changed

Just trying to work out how many we have done now. I think Shar would be our 14th or 15th ET dog. Also 4th generation ET titled GSD, behind her Aunty, Grandmother and Great Grandmother (Who qualied at the first ET held in QLD along with our GR Ch Malinois "DINO")

More to run next year and will get the kids out there doing a dog each :(

A huge thank you to Nanango & Dist ABKC for holding yet another great morning, to our Local Vet Trinity, judge Bruce Knobbs, always a nice man to have around and all the helpers. Good on you!!:wave:

It was a great morning, the club did a fantastic job, and the track was just great. We were thrilled that both of our guys did it with ease, I think we over did the training as both of them just wanted to run and were not impressed at having to simply trot along.

The 2am start nearly killed me to drive up to Nanango, but it was well worth the drive, and I will admit to a huge Nanna nap when we got home!!
