ChocosMum Posted August 19, 2009 Share Posted August 19, 2009 :p Our boy Choco (17 weeks old) vomited this morning about 5am and in it was bone fragments from his roo bone..He finished eating it about 8pm last night..This is the second time he has done this,first time with a turkey wing ....He has been having bones for 2 months now... can anyone shed any light on this please..... I wouldn't worry unless he looks distressed, or is having toileting problems .. Miranda Posted August 20, 2009 Share Posted August 20, 2009 Dogs vomit very easily, they are scavengers by nature so vomiting is a survival mechanism to ensure that anything harmful is ejected from the stomach before it can do any harm. They will also regurgitate anything that's too large to be digested and will often eat it again, chewing it into smaller pieces. This is perfectly normal dog behaviour and nothing to worry about.
