giraffez
Has anyone been able to teach the dog to catch the food on his muzzle. It starts off by putting food on the dog's muzzle, then he sits very still until you give it the command. Then it will toss open its muzzle and quickly grab the food that was sitting there before. My dog won't stay still
Kavik
Yep I taught this to my last dog. Not sure it was my finest bit of dog training, I was quite young when I taught this I think I did it the most obvious way, dog in sit stay, put food on muzzle and say stay (maybe I held the muzzle or food on there? can't remember) then released and she learned how to flip it and catch it. Your dog also needs to have a muzzle to balance the food on My pei fail miserably. (sorry just couldn't help myself)
:ange:
My dog just can't catch... She also hates this trick and immediately goes floppy and drops to the floor when I try and put food on her nose.. not a very foolproof trick used in our house.
