Amber11
Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and I need some advise on getting whites white. I have a 4yr Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and just starting out in showing. I have done a few shows but No one in the clud helps you with anything. I need to get the bit on the nose white as it was stained by spaggetti. Thanks to OH. Cheers Edited August 6, 2009 by Amber11
RoxyNHemi
Various things will work I would try a good whitening shampoo like Dazzle Dog and perhaps chalking before going in the ring
poodlefan
How often does your dog eat spaghetti? If it's not often, are you sure that's the culprit. It's not tear stains by chance? Posting a photo of the stain would help. Sunlight soap followed by a good whitening shampoo is usually good for stains. What club are you a member of - is it a dog training club? oakway
If the dog has not been shown before, 4 years of grime may hard to move. Are you sure the dog is of show quality ?. It might be wise to get the dog assessed by the breeder.
sas
Sunlight Soap Glo Whitening Shampoo Laser Lites LOL @ is it show quality....hardly relevant to how do I get my dogs nose white!
oakway
sas No, the OP asked about getting their dog white. The nose was just part of it. They are wanting to show. Could be a lot of work getting the whites, white enough to show.. Could even come down to stripping and bleaching the coat out. That could be a lot of work and money wasted if the dog is not show quality. :p
Gretel
Yes a photo would be a good idea. I was wondering about spagetti too My old blenheim girl was nice and white till the day she died and it had been a very long time since she'd been in the show ring. What conditions has he been kept in?

People shouldn't have to justify themselves about show quality when they ask a simple question.

Only tomato based sauces though. I love the whole colours - Rubys in particular.

It's her dog and her money and questioning as to whether the dog is show quality is simply irrelevant and rude.
puggy_puggy
Are the people that bred her still showing or available to chat with? They may be good mentors for you and help you get into the showing world . In pet produce shops I have seen many whitening shampoos and products.
