dwynwen
Does anyone feed beetroot tops as part of their dog's raw diet? I've searched (here and elsewhere) and found lots of refs to beetroot but not the leaves. (Billinghurst doesn't seem to believe in indexes ... ) I know people eat them so I'd guess they're ok. Sandra777
Beetroot tops off beets big enough to eat are quite bitter, young beet leaves are yum, so I wouldn't fancy your chances of getting a dog to eat them in any great quantity but a few mushed up with other things they're fine - haven't managed to kill any of mine yet anyway! Kirislin
Not sure about the tops but I tried growing beetroot and Puck sniffed them out, dug them up and ate them.
