Perth Dog Trainer/behaviourist Required

Hi,

A friend has had some problems with her Rotty who has just turned 2 years old and I said I would put the feelers out for a well repected dog trainer/behaviourist who has knowledge of he Rotty breed. This dog spent his 1st year of life in protection training and they got him at a year old. He has been great until just recently when on reaching age 2 he has shown signs of guarding with strangers. He hasn't hurt anyone yet but he has scared people by jumping on them and grabbing their arm.

If anyone can recommend someone please let me know.

Just bumping to see if anyone in Perth knows of a good trainer/behaviourist for the Rotty breed that they can recommend. I thought this would be the best place to ask but perhaps General would get a better response.

he doesnt need a rottie breed specialist he needs someone who understands protection training inside out.

by 12 months he would have been doing a lot of prey work, so the dog could either be properly protecting but now knowing how to follow through or gets excited, sees people as fun and remembers the most fun comes from playing tug-o-war with their arm!
