My breeder is unable to be there. I feel sick just thinking about it Oooh yay... I'll be there both days... I has a secret which shall be unveiled on the Saturday We'll be inside though... so we miss out on watching everyone else. You will have to post what your secret is after you unveil it on Saturday because I have no idea who you are
Jessm
Not so min pins?! Aw poor bubba, so glad to hear she is putting on the weight now though (why cant life just be easy?!) He is sound asleep on the floor cause he had a bit of trouble getting on the bed and that's all he's done since we've retired to the room. Didn't even moan or groan when I poked and proded him a bit and no snoring! He is THAT out of it! As we were leaving the vets today we did get the comment "that's one giant pug....." Jess - Poor Leo - I hope he feels much better after a big sleep TA - Sounds like your little one is a fighter. If she puts on a bit more weight will she be able to feed from Mum again? Parrotpea - Little Bear is still with her mum all the time except when I'm feeding her, but I'm not sure how much she is getting from her. She just seems to have a bit of an attachment issue - she's keen as mustard, but is very easily dislodged by her boofy siblings, or if Ginger moves a bit. At least she's getting the warmth and toileting and socialisation she needs there, and hopefully a bit of a suckle now and then. She is a tough little cookie. I just finished feeding her now and she is at her heaviest yet - 221g!!!

pixie_meg
in 2 weeks we'll be at our 3rd show. our first all breeds at durack. Took another (sort of) stacked photo. So hard to get a proper stacked photo when you've got to stack and shoot. He's grown so much in the last few months. here he was a few months back 14 months old and at 16 months old
Enigma01au
Off to our first show tonight at Gawler. I've been down early and setup the Gazebo so that I won't be stressed about that. I was setting up while a lovely person was setting up next to me, she shows Staffies. I explained to her that it was my first show tonight, and that if she could see me making any monumental etiquette gaffs, to please let me know . So, at least I'll know the "next door neighbour".......

parrotpea
Awwww Ruby is gorgeous! She looks like a sweet little girl! Mr Leo is feeling sad and sorry for himself tonight! I had to pick him up from the vets while doing my deliveries so he did the rounds with me and cried the whole time! My poor bubba. He is very sooky. But alive and well which is great! When we got home I took him home for wees and i swear he was hallucinating he was trying to jump the fence (and for a boy that rarely moves that's odd!) Good to hear all of the babies are doing well! Hope it stays that way! Why do you have to bottlefeed her? The little one needs to be fed because she was losing weight from birth. She was 175g born (the others were 200g) and she slipped to around 147g in the couple of days after that so I took her to the vets, gave her some fluids under the skin and started bottle feeding her. She's now over 200g so she's doing okay - mind you the others are now 317g and 417g!! That's great news on the weight gain TA. Hopefully she'll get the hang of feeding from Mum soon! I drove down with OH and the kids to have a walk around with Ruby but I couldn't find it ;) I just looked it up on google maps and we were so close... I will be trying to get down there on weds as I really want uby to get to hang out at a few shows and meet some nice dogs. It's so hard trying to get her well socialised when I don't know many people whose dogs I trust, and when she hasn't had her 12 week vacc yet.. Enigma01au
We'll we got Baby Puppy of Breed....by default Yay..our very first ribbon!!!! I was soooooo nervous, but I told the steward and the judge and they were VERY forgiving! I didn't fall over, my puppy didn't poop in the ring, so I think I can say we survived unscathed I could hear people on the sideline giggling at us, which I didn't mind, much better to have people laughing at you than yelling at you. Now we have a couple of weeks of show training before the next show. I'm sure that'll be scary too, but at least I'm not a Show Ring virgin anymore Hi Lindsay, I think the next show is the Ladies Kennel Club Show, in March. I'm glad to have a month to get some more training under our belt's before the next show...we REALLY do need it.....

Well done on your first show without any hassles! :D I'm going to get giggled at when my new baby hits the ring, I'm sure he's going to be naughty like his mother was! He will be entered for Ladies, if you see a baby red merle Aussie that's him! ETA: And I'll likely be somewhere near Whiskedaway! As Enigma said - if you didn't fall over ,and your pup didn't poop in the ring - you're doing pretty well How would I recognise you if I came to say hello on weds?
