Tambaqui
WOW! Everyone is doing great as newbies!!! Well done Jess and Leo!!! What a brilliant result!! I've been a bit slack at keeping up with everyone here... are you handling him now?Today Fletcher redeemed himself a little bit from his dumping x2 last week haha. He got Reserve Challenge Dog and RUBOB! there were 15 Sammies present, we were super happy and he mostly behaved very well!! The judge was just lovely and it's so nice when judges chat and tell you/your dog how much they like them! Yay... I have company :D  Where abouts in Vic have you been showing... and yes... very noob. Where abouts? Oh... Everywhere I'm 20 mins from KCC so that's an easy one... but i've been to bendigo, ballarat, sunbury, lancefield and going to kyneton, ballarat (again) and Morwell in the next two weeks... oh and this Thursday i'm heading up to NSW for the Samoyed Champ show. hahaha! I'm loving summer shows, it seemed that through winter they're all at KCC park, so thats where the bulk of our first shows were.. but now that the weathers warming up it's really nice traveling! Today was our first outside show at KCC park, so much prettier What breed do you have?? Congrats to you and Fletcher! That is fantastic news ;) Clancy went Reserve Dog Challenge and he also had to go in for RUBOB but missed out! The judge was fantastic at group 1 and was even helpful when I had my dog stacked up wrong! But got a great comment saying Clancy was a beautiful dog I've met some more fantastic people at the show and had a great day! I was also a big fan of the Pekingese that went Runner Up in Group, as it just flopped there and it looked like a ball of wool attached to a lead! I'm about 10 to 15 Minutes away from KCC as well! I'm heading to Morwell in two weeks and I am trying to figure out how to fit everything in the car to bring along the Dobermann to show for my dad! My car will be so heavy! :D
TwinSpirits
Congratulations to everyone, you all seem to be doing so well! He got Reserve Challenge Dog and RUBOB! there were 15 Sammies present, we were super happy and he mostly behaved very well!! Woo hoo Fletcher, way to go!!! Everyone is doing so well, Kyza and I must be the only newbies who are getting dumped weeked, after weekend, after weekend I don't do that well, Taite only wins because there isnt another dog in, otherwise he is still bunny hopping, jumping on the judges, trying to play with everything, turfing the grass up, digging, rolling around in the ring and being a puppy :D We are up in Minor Puppy on Friday Today he decided to bolt as I was putting him in the crate and spooked the dally in the ring for best in group, he was bolting straight for it ;) was lucky that people called him all excited and he detoured towards them so I could leash him again. Jessm
Thanks everyone ..I was so happy I felt like crying haha It was nice to meet you too Sammy :D sorry I didn't stay to chat, you'se seemed to have your hands full with all the puggles anyway haha. How did you'se go?? Bindii I am handling him now, have done the last 4 shows, and am starting to get the hang of it! It's not nearly as bad as I had imagined! That is great to hear about Fletch! Against so many others, how proud you must be!! And I agree about the judges, so far all of them have been great, the judge on the saturday loved Leo's kisses and didn't mind being slimed on either And so have all the other exhibitors (knock on wood!) when we had our win everyone was shaking my hand and congratulating us it was so overwhelming haha. Even the lady at the office remembered us from the friday and said she was happy to see we made the win with competitors Edited November 15, 2009 by Jessm

The Ark
Hi Tambaqui, Great to see you in this thread! Clancy is a lovely boy - and I do like the lead. Congrats on his wins so far! It sounds like the Vic min pin shows are great - I'm going to join the clubs but it is a bit far for me to travel to shows at this stage. Deb Are there any noobs in Victoria? Looks like this thread's been swamped with Welshies *waves* I am one as well showing a Miniature Pinscher! Although I don't show frequently and mostly showing at KCC park, but Clancy only had 6 Shows so far and picked up Minor in Group at his second show under a Min Pin Specialist Phillip Cross and his third show he picked up Minor in Breed and Runner Up Minor in Show (all with competition) at the United Pinscher Club of Victoria! So I'm very excited and happy with his progress and he is doing incredibly well! Here is the latest "stack" photo I have attempted and it! Mind you the lead he has on cost me $75! He is so full of himself, but he is an absolutely gorgeous boy!

Thanks, I'm really excited and love working with Clancy! Clancy is loving the whole showing/obedience scene and that what makes it fun for the both of us! How is your Min Pin doing? How much points have you gathered so far? If you are looking for Min Pins Club there is the main Min Pin Club and there is another club where the Min Pins are associated called the United Pinscher Club of Victoria (It's for the Affenpinschers, German Pinschers and the Mininature Pinschers as well)! -Michael
The Ark
Hi Michael, I'm back to showing babies at the moment, so no points yet! Look out in the New Year, though. I sold my little minor girl, Charm, as she really didn't enjoy showing and her pesky ears weren't going to stand up - so we are non-competitive again.... We are just happy to be learning along the way at the moment, and soaking up the glory of all those around us (hi Bec & Tobe!). Yay Jess - very happy to hear Leo went so well. You obviously didn't need to worry about that teeny little spot on his back! What a clever boy (and clever you). Sammy - also nice to meet you and Rebel & Kite today. I came home and slept for 3 hours this afternoon - I was exhausted!!! I did get jumped on by 3 kids during that 3 hours, though - and woke up to find 2 just-as-exhausted min pin babies next to me! angelsophie
we were exhusted too deb. We did take the kids to the pool as a reward for only being minorly feral today. Toby enjoyed dinner of lamb steak for a weekend well done lol!! Sammy was lucky enough to overhear my six year old say when she takes over toby next year when she turns seven, that toby will be much more sensible under her control!! Thats how naughty my dog can be - a six year old thinks she could do better My money is on chester taking a class in group as a baby or minor - hes just too cute and friendly :D and that dog can freestack already and hes onlya baby :D I put him on tobes trolley for a minute and the little cutie stacked himself!! I will cut and paste a pic from the hav thread that a friend took of tobes getting minor in group bear in mind I was soooooooooooo shocked I had been holding him up in the air and hugging him and didnt brush him before the photo
Nevafollo
LOL Bec your daughter is a real character, that comment just cracked me up. It is so hot at the moment going out this weekend to by a few extra cooling things for the dogs and maybe even some cooler show clothes for me! I was sick all weekend and feel shocking today after two days in the heat! Oh and we are going to look for a new gazebo what did you say the name of that shop was Bec where you got yours? They're like little kangaroos hopping around and doing bits of hackney gait here and there! I was starting to wish I had shown Clancy at 3 months and wishing I had seen what he would do, but I started at 5.5 months and his ears were up and doing the manly strut almost like he is a fully fledge adult already! But Clancy tends to pull me around the ring as if he is in a big rush to get back to the judge! I bet you can't wait for your next baby and getting back into the ring again! Time will fly and you'll be there in no time! Sammy, if you're looking for gazebo, I'd recommend Oztrail . Fantastic, sturdy and easy to put up! -Michael Edited November 16, 2009 by Tambaqui

RallyValley
Just a total newb question. When you get your new dog do you have to call up and change your name on the registration or does the breeder do that? (I am looking forward to BP classes in med Feb)

(I am looking forward to BP classes in med Feb) Normally on the back of the rego forms there is change of owners details. Your breeder signs the dog over to you, you fill in your bit then send it off with whatever fee to your canine council.

Yes you should go as should freckles who I dont know but think should go anyway Not at this stage as Flik breeds selectivley and wont have a litter for ages and I might burst if we dont have another dog by that time seriously she only has one every couple of years. There are some exciting litters happeneing or planned. I am hoping the girl fairy is around as we would like a little girl - boys peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee way to much and their aim is terrible Will get hubby to work on him as I think hubby is more impatient than me He is going to handle when needed too although he hasnt made up his mind if he wants the new one from the start or take over tobes if/when he settles. If were going back to baby sweepies you simply must too Edited November 17, 2009 by angelsophie
