Staycalm
Our little ShihTzu x has some pretty dodgy joints so we've been keeping a close eye on them. Can anybody give me a ballpark example of the costs involved? I am suspecting we'll be needing to take care of at least one before the end of this year. He's in no pain or discomfort atm and I will be talking to the vet next time we see him. Edited July 12, 2009 by Staycalm
redarachnid
expect about $1000 per leg. (also the spelling is Shih Tzu) Good luck with him. Edited July 12, 2009 by redarachnid
Staycalm
Thanks. Yes I mis-typed that's all.
samboy
We paid just over $600 for our dog, but that was over 4 years ago.
puggy_puggy
Depends on who does them. A specalist surgeon is of course going to cost more then a normal vet. What grade are they?
Staycalm
I don't know what grade. The vet has been happy about them so they can't be too bad (he walks with a very strange gait) but we feel it is inevitable he will need them done eventually. I'd like to be prepared mentally and financially.
