New Flyball Team On The Gold Coast

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Following the success of the first AFA sanctioned flyball compeititon on the Gold Coast at last weekends GC Pet and Animal Expo a new flyball club/team will be starting on the Coast and anyone interested can email me at [email protected]

I am currently looking for suitable training venues and also the possibility of joining forces with an existing Obedience or Agility club and using their grounds and offering flyball as another sport to their members.

If you have suggestions on venues or clubs etc please email ...soon!!!

thanks

I watched your flyball quite extensively at the pet expo and I loved it. My dog was raring to go. It is something I have always wanted to do, but the closest venue to us is South Brisbane & they train on Sundays, I work on Sundays :cooldance: so would love a Saturday arrangement.

I'm sure there would have to be a dog club on the Gold Coast interested in this considering it is not here at the present. If you do one on Sats I'm there!

Hey Iluvkelpies

thanks for the reply. The team who I run with at the moment Awesome Pawsome are Brisbane based at Mt Gravatt and we train on Friday nights so i don't know if that suits you better?

It takes me an 1hr to get there and I live out near Springbrook. So depending where you are on the Coast the travel is not to bad.

Email me at [email protected] if you would like more info.

cheers

Hi ILovKelpies, and Wherezaball

ILKelpies, hopefully the GC team will get up and running, but in the meantime there is another training area slightl closer to you at the moment too.

As Wherezaball said, there is Awesome Pawsome at MG on Fridays; but there is now also (as of last year) Saturday morning classes at the RSPCA Training Centre (next to World of Pets) in Springwood. I have been going there (because it's closest to me) for the past year or so, and have recently graduated over to the same team's training on Thurs nights in Fairfield (RSPCA).

If Fairfield is thesame place you are referring to with the Sunday training, you don't have to go to Sun's until you are team ready, which can take some time. :)

(PS Wherezaball, this is new FF member Jodie, Boston the BC's mum ). LOVE watching Cooper run and thanks for passing along tips to Nealle (which she also passed to me ).

Also, I have a friend on the GC with a ACD puppy who just asked about Flyball so now I know I can tell her to contact you, yay!

Cheers. :o
