Where Can I Buy A Good Leather Muzzle?

 Share

Recommended Posts

I am after a good quality leather muzzle. One of the ones that the dog can wear comfortably and allows the dog to pant freely.

I have seen some lovely ones on overseas websites but was trying to get one from Australia.

Any suggestions of a good place?

Thanks :)

I am after one suitable for a Rottweiler.

Thanks for the ideas, I will have a look at those places suggested.

MonElite, those muzzles look very good quality but i had no idea they would be so expensive!! I guess you get what you pay.

I had a look at those Ebay ones but its hard to tell the quality.

Dogquip sell and make leather muzzles, http://www.dogquip.com/ you will need to email Kurt as they do not have much info displayed on there website. Dogquip make and sell equipment to the RAAF and various state police dog units.

I know a lot of people who have had problems in receiving there gear from Pro K9 Supplies.

ETA: Dogquip are based in South Australia

what do you need it for

do you need it for training or a "just in case muzzle"

that will also depend on what type of muzzle you need

if its a "just in case muzzle" you would get away with a good quality wire muzzle and you can get them from most good pet shops

but other wise i second the leather ones from dogquip

Farmers mailbox sells ones with wire baskets and leather straps designed for BCs and kelpies but probably not what you want.

Great sig quote, Janba.

Which, may I clarify, has nothing to do with me (Pro-K9) and is a completely separate entity bearing no relationship whatsoever. I too have heard of people having difficulties in receiving their gear from there. Don't know if that was an administrational glitch or not, nor whether the service has been rectified.

Dogquip is good and has supplied me with some good gear in the past. Speaking with Kurt, he seems to know what he's about and understands his products.

I have had a chat to Kurt who is very helpful and am getting one from him. Its a good price too.

Schweikert muzzles look great but yes, very expensive for a "just incase" muzzle. All I need it for is vet visits so nothing too major but i wanted a good solid one anyway.

Thanks :) .

Sorry Erny, I was going to say they have nothing to do with your business.

Good to hear, I am sure you will be impressed with the quality of his equipment.

OT : No need for you to apologise Jeff, but thank you :p. It is bad enough their name is so close to mine. But I like it even less if they aren't providing good service.
