mrs tornsocks
Tonight while we were all in the loungeroom, 9 wko Archie the lab was sitting on the floor just kind of staring up at me. This went on for a while and then walked over to me sitting on the lounge and just started barking at me. I guess this could be any number of things - but wondering any thoughts on this ? After he did this little barking session he had a big zoomy session and went a bit cuckoo for 10 mins or so. Leo&Abby's Owner
Mrs Tornsocks, It sounds as though he's just an excited puppy, inviting you to play. Thought for the future though, I'm not a big fan of my dogs barking at me, it could turn into a dominance thing. Maybe when he does that, try to ignore him or give him a timeout. Very cute though lol
mrs tornsocks
OOps he needs some tough boydog toys don't worry he has heaps, "croc" is the current fave. Just wasn't nearby when he had his crazy attack and we let him go this once .....
pebbles
My Silky girl does this frequently, she barks and dances from one foot to the other, generally it's to get me to have a game if her pal, Mick, won't oblige. Sometimes I play with her but she knows that a hand held up and "enough" means she has to find her own entertainment. Attention seeking, yes, dominance, not here anyway lol. puggy_puggy
I agree with everyone else. He wanted to play. My 6 year old female pug still does this to me.
becks
Mine also does the stare as a way of telling me she wants to go outside. It's just a way for them to get our attention, and if that doesn't work - bark!
