Recommended Posts

I have an opportunity to purchase a soft tunnel and seasaw but Im not sure if the size of them is correct and good enough for a dobe.

Soft tunnel is 60cm diameter and its 5 m long

Seasaw is 300 x 54 x 34 cm

are they correct sizes?

Correct sizes for what organization, as they vary?

In regard to ANKC agility, your tunnel is OK ( 600mm diameter and may vary between 4 and 8 metres in length)

Your seesaw sounds as if it may be too short and too wide.

.....'length of the plank should be a minimum of 3650mm to a maximum of 4250mm. Width a minimum of 300mm to a maximum of 330mm. Height of central bracket being app. 1/6 of the length of the plank to the ground.'

So the one you are looking at sounds as if it is in proportion, but not regulation size.

It sounds a bit like one of the old NADAC ones that they used to have in Vic. as they were shorter than ANKC.

It may be correct size for ADAA? but I don't know as we don't have that in Vic.

Sure someone on here will be able to tell you.

ADAA wants tunnels- lenght 3metre to 5 metre with diameter 60 to 80 cm.

And See-Saw a solid plank lenght 3660mm and width 300m +/- 25mm.

I use equipment that is not always to the letter. Like I have small dogs so can use a cat play tunnel to teach tunnels etc. But I might not use equipment that could be unsafe. I wouldn't use a narrow plank for the SeeSaw. Wider is safe still but then you have a promblem when you go to narrow.

Maybe you can adjust the See-Saw? Good Luck. I haven't seen any dobes round here doing agility. Would like to thou.

Hi MonElite,

The difference between the ANKC and NADAC-Aust See Saw is minimal (approx 10mm). NADAC-Aust also work in inches. I guess the most importat thing is to make sure the see-saw is well balanced.

The tunnel sounds fine.
