Bartok
This is Avery He is a 12-15mth old Malinios Shepherd waiting adoption I have no reason why this boy is taking so long to find his home He is dog friendly and would ideal for dog sports Avery is very fast and very smart. Can outwit any dog at the boarding kennels he currently resides in. Avery is lean and quite sleek and about lab height. He really is a delightful boy. So if anyone in the dog sport world is after a new companion. Then Avery could be your man.

Bartok
I know i have asked already but considering he still hasn't found a home could he go interstate (seq)? I have no problem with him going interstate, but I don't own him. I just do the re-homes. I could ask again though.
PAX
Do you know any more about him? Where did he come from and why is he up for adoption? Mals aren't common or popular, he must have a story that might help him be rehomed .
Bartok
He came into the shelter from the pound at 12wks of age He was rehomed but came back a few months later for digging a hole. That is it. Nothing more. Just a gorgeous dog. Waiting for a home. I think he is a special boy.
callee
I may know someone. I should be able to get a hold of them late tonight. I'll get back to you tomorrow. He would get the best of care and attention at this house. Some quick general questions: Health concerns? Desexed? If they do want him, what is the process of adoption? Also, he'll probably come to me here in Brisbane first, as the person I'm thinking of is currently shifting between states. So they might just take him, if I offer to home him while they are in transit. He'd be able to run like an idiot around with my Groenendael. Would there be a problem with that? Let me know if his situation changes, otherwise hold tight till tomorrow! Hell, even I'm going to talk to my husband tonight. We might take him ourselves! hehehe He's so pretty! Ulfhednar
Hey Fran, if he is still in need in a few weeks time he can come and stay with me for a while and hang out with the huskies. He'll get plenty of exercise and we can put a harness on him and see how he likes it.

No issues with other dogs at all. Walks well on a lead. He can sit. He fetches and loves tug toys. He also enjoys the water. He is desexed, vaccinated, chipped Avery was tested for the RAAF, but too soft He has a fantastic change of speed and change of direction. He plays with a very dominant female Shepherd and he out wit, out smarts and out plays her on a daily basis

Thanks for that Ros. It would probably be good for him. He just is so clever and wants to constantly be stimulated and work. So maybe he is a pretend husky. Accept Avery has never tried to escape or jump fences
trifecta
Would you consider transferring Avery to Sally at Happy Paws Grafton? Sally has become a Belgian specialist over the years, she has rehomed 23 in the last two years. All Sally's Belgians are fostered in a home environment, they attend Obedience classes & if age permits, agility - so at least Avery would be a started dog & much more attractive to adopters looking for a sport dog. Sally rescues with the sanction of the Belgian Shepherd Dog Club of NSW, they have just had a raffle to help raise funds for Sally's rescue efforts. Happy Paws is a registered charity, the facilities are inspected & approved by the RSPCA. Sally has found some wonderful homes for our Belgians, both pure & crosses, young & old, including placing dogs with top ranking NSW agility competitors. I will PM you her contact details as Sally is not a member of DOL!
