nabs
My diet with my guys has pretty much been premium dry food, chicken mince occasional chook frames bones etc. One of my young girls who is 14 mo has decided she will NOT eat the dry food anymore. Hence I have been filling her up on chicken necks and mince. I have now decided I will totally feed her raw and see if she eats better and puts on more condition. I have ordered a box of chicken necks, lamb brisket, have a freezer full of chicken meat. What else do you raw feeders add to the mix? I was thinking yogurt as we usually use this with the dry food anyway. Any other ideas? She has finished her main growing. Just needs to fill out a bit more. poodlefan
Definitely some offal.. up to 10% of the diet. I'd be adding a general nutritional supplement and some good Omega oil too.

Gretel
I've just started giving my girls fish. I was feeling a bit aprehensive so started out with whitebait. They loved it but it was a bit expensive....
Gretel
I feed chicken hearts and chicken livers Having bigger dogs you may prefer bigger. When I'm having lambs fry (yum!!!) I cut up what I want from it and the dogs get the rest. I have found one of mine will not eat raw liver or hearts. I think it must be the texture that puts her off. She'll pick it up and mouth it and then spit it out with a look of disgust Raw eggs are good too. Mine love them.
Diva
Good idea PF any recs on the offal type? I can get access to pleny of liver etc but worry about how rich it is. Liver should be no more than about 5% of the total diet, but some is considered necessary. Another 5% can be made up of other offal - my dogs love lamb kidneys, but it can be anything. Heart is generally counted as a muscle meat and not in the 10% total offal. Edited May 14, 2009 by Diva

I'd change it around from time to time if you can.. liver in limited quantities but also kidneys, heart (not really offal but still good) and from a range of animals. My dogs live chicken giblets. Seita
I feed a veggie mix (whatevers on spec but it always has a root veg like swt potato or pumpkin and spinach in it, the rest varies) and the raw meaty bones. It's cheaper if you go to your local butcher and get beef/lamb/pork offcuts and things like chicken frames, I feed mostly meaty bones and maybe 2 days a week they get the veggies. I randomly add yoghurt, egg, sardines, offal etc to their diet depending on what I've got on hand or remember to buy!
stormie
Ries I feed Orbit raw and due to his allergies, am quite limited on what meats/offal he can have, but he is doing really well on it regardless. Basically he gets 0.5-1k of meat for breakfast, and about 1kg of RMB for dinner. I add eggs and offal/heart to his breakfast on weekends. I have to feed small amounts of offal/hearts regularly because too much and he has the foulest black/green diarrhoea ever! You seem to have a better range of meat up there just in woolies than we do here. I've yet to find a woolies that has tongue but it was everywhere up there when I was up there last!
