Kavik
I heard about the World Dog Games event at a trial yesterday - to be held at Acer Arena in October this year. Apparently there is a prize of $10,000 to be won! Tryouts at the June WAC trials in Macksville. Here is all the information I could find: http://www.adaa.com.au/articles/chairreportapr09.htm Does anyone else know more?
bordacollies4me
Yep you got it right.... Only Open A events will be held at the June tryouts... with only 2 height divisions Toy/Mini 250mm and Midi/Maxi 550mm, i am pretty sure with $10 000 prize money for each of the divisions... only other thing i know is that there will be multiple dog sports at this event... Kavik
So Open A - that is open to all dogs right? I get a bit confused with all the divisions in ADAA Will there be Jumping events or only Agility?

I get a bit confused with all the divisions in ADAA Will there be Jumping events or only Agility? Yes Open A is open to all dogs... just have to be a member of ADAA... there will be jumping and Agility Events on that weekend, as it is also the try outs for the WAC so there will be Advanced runs as well... i am sure we will know when the schedule goes up what events will count for what.. Kavik
Thanks. How hard is Open A Jumping? The next trial on 16-17 May has this event, wondering whether to enter.
bordacollies4me
well might be a good thing to enter if you are thinking of entering the tryouts for the World DOg Games... much the same as Open standard Agility, just jumping and the SCT can be a little quicker... MolassesLass
I posted in Dog Sports about this a while ago, it sound great. Canine Disc will be there too, $10000 in prizes, qualifying events are being held in the coming months and it's not hard to get started in this sport.
