Bonbongirl
Hi everyone, We have recently moved to the Newcastle area and are looking for recommendations of a good vet? We have tried one this week however the vet had a pretty big issue with us using a prong collar on our dog so just looking for someone a bit more understanding. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
SoL
Phillip Adams of Adamstown Vet is excellent and I highly recommend him, he is very knowledgable and goes above and beyond the call of duty. Don't know his stance on prong collars though.

Bonbongirl
Thanks for the suggestions so far. I am happy to travel a bit for someone good but anywhere around Charlestown, Adamstown, Lambton etc would be preferable.
FionaC
My SIL uses the Adamstown Vet for her GSD and she has quite positive things to say about them ... I use the Hamilton Vet Clinic for Mort (and Talin) and have only good things to say about them as well (they are very open to alternative therapies along side mainstream therapies which I like) - however I don't know their views on prong collars so I can't help on that one ...... Aziah
Though I don't use him myself I'll second the recommendation for Phillip Adams... I used Belmont Vet on the highway for many years however I now travel 1/2 hour to Toronto (probably a little far for you though)?
TerraNik
I used to take my dog to David O'Hara in Hamilton South. He's got a practice attached to his house and used to board our dog when we went on holidays, too. Toby LOVED him and I can't ever having any issues with him. It was a while back though - Toby passed away about 5 years ago.
