Seesaw Progression - Agility

Not sure how long - depends on how often I practice, and how long I stay on the same step before moving on. It is heavy, so need OH to set it up for me, so only get to practice a couple of times a week. At the moment, deciding whether I need to get him more confident on this step running from the table along the seesaw before going on.

I am not doing nose touch contacts for the seesaw but I am for A-Frame and Dogwalk. For seesaw I am doing 4 on, as that seems to work well with the banging on the end, he will hop on to 4 on position himself.

Love it!!! Fantastic, my viz only has issues with the see saw!!!! I feel renewed and cant' wait to start learning the bang game and also to keep the entry end stable. When you see it is seems so logical, but, no one has ever shown me that before. Great :laugh: Nice see saw, where did you get it??

I better start paying attention to this sort of stuff! Jedi starts agility Friday week!! I've never done it before, but I've done lots of foundation work with him in preparation. I have a feeling it's going to be a steep learning curve!

Thanks

After watching LOTS of seesaw performances on Youtube, I really like this one. Not as breathtaking as those amazing sliding seesaws done by some Border Collies, but more controlled and attainable for me with my first attempt at a proper seesaw performance  Casima's Anna also has a great seesaw very similar to this

Looking good Kavik!!

Poppy is a crazy thing on the seesaw! It looks like she is trying to make as much noise and bang as possible, lol. She is only a little border and the force that she was banging it was bouncing her off the end. I had to slow her down, which was a novelty for me!

He looks good, although still a little hesitant.

I'd like to see what he does without you in the picture as he seems quite tuned in to your movement...especially the releases, both from the start & from the contact. I would be putting your arms away, it is just an extra cue that you will need to fade.

can you video him again & send him as well as call him. I think he will look quite different in each of those scenarios.

Have you got a tunnel at your place? sending into a tunnel first can help you get ahead & allow him to perform independently.
