Staff'n'Toller
If anyone knows who the trainer is that runs the puppy classes at Petstock Torquay would you mind PMing me the name? Nothing suspicious, just have a good friends', friend taking her puppy there and was asked if I knew anything about petstock puppy school. :D Thanks, Mel. Cosmolo
Not sure about that one but most of them are run by trainers from Righteous Pups
Roguedog
not any more, Petstock will now be running their own puppykinda. The class your friend is attending will be the last one at the store run by Righteous Pups.

Roguedog
Thanks for the info- any idea why? I was one of the trainers with Righteous Pups and I dont even know the full reason why, they have asked us to be hush-hush on the reason because of lawyers involved(?), so whatever happened, it must have been bad! Erny
Ok, thanks heaps for the info, do u know if these guys go through a formal qualification? I believe PetStock will/do insist on some formal qualification/experience. Pro-K9 will be running block-classes at the PetStock Pakenham store, commencing after Easter. Maximum 10 pups. Bookings are being taken now. Edited April 4, 2009 by Erny
Staff'n'Toller
Torquay is no-where near Pakenham. I assume you've got a couple of assistants with you then Erny? Running classes with 10 pups?

Cosmolo
Maybe they have changed but i know that some stores did not insist on formal qualifications previously.

Pockets
I used to run puppy classes at Petstock in Melton, but they dont run it anymore I dont think, has been a long time, not many were interested as it was through Vern Ryan, but once they found out I was the trainer, they were rapped!!! I got awesome feedback from people Wish I could o it again, but a lot of places run their own now
Cosmolo
Thats great Kelpie i. I have been doing puppy school at one for a few years and had dealings with a few others that were a bit different. Edited April 4, 2009 by Cosmolo
Kelpie-i
Pockets, that's a shame. Melton don't run PPS anymore, rather they refer puppies to a local dog school.
Pockets
Yeah I didnt think they did, I had a great time running them, was awesome and people really enjoyed it and learnt a lot!!! I obviously no longer work for Vern Ryan anymore I loved working in the dog boarding kennels and running Puppy School

Akitachick
If anyone knows who the trainer is that runs the puppy classes at Petstock Torquay would you mind PMing me the name?Nothing suspicious, just have a good friends', friend taking her puppy there and was asked if I knew anything about petstock puppy school. Thanks, Mel. Hi there Mel, I only just became a member of Dogz Online forums or would have replied to your post sooner. I am the person who is going to be running puppy classes for Petstock Torquay, with our first course starting this coming Saturday. As a few people have said, Righteous Pups was doing puppy classes for Petstock for a while there but I believe that the Torquay store did not continue with RP after the first class was run about 12 months back. My name is Deb and I am from DogTech Geelong. Some of you may know who DogTech is, some may have varying opinions, but I have been successfully running this business in Geelong and surrounding areas for 8 years now and the majority of my work is visiting people in their homes to help them with dogs with behavioural problems. I ran puppy classes at a vet in Werribee for over 12 months, taking over from a DogTech colleague of mine who ran them for at least a year before me. I also ran p/c for Petstock Geelong and Corio stores for about 2 years before Righteous Pups came along. DogTech is accredited by the AAPDT (Australian Association of Professional Dog Trainers) and have trainers in most states of Australia, as well as NZ, Singapore and Japan. Feel free to check us out at www.dogtechvic.com.au or www.dogtech.com.au Hope this helps and I'm sure your friend's friend will have heaps of fun at our puppy classes :-) Regards, Deb.
