Seeing as I haven't seen the schedule I know I'll have to say both, though I'm not sure if I know the 2nd judge. ness Posted July 4, 2009 Share Posted July 4, 2009 (edited) Dova won't be around until Monday as she had to return the sheep but she has 2 brags for both Izzie and Pebbles. As for Miss Kenzie - she managed to easily pass her 2 instinct tests this time around. Although I had to fight for a recall out of her as she decided to switch on a little more than I expected and she no longer had eyes for her mum and only really had eyes for the sheep . And yep both judges were lovely :p . One of them (Piper) even let me do my recall as far away from the sheep as I could possibly get and even then it took 2 attempts . JulesP Posted July 5, 2009 Author Share Posted July 5, 2009 Congrats Ness! How did you go today Piper?? I had a great day at the clinic. Am starting to get the hang of started. I did 2 runs of a course and my teacher, who is a judge, said I would have passed both. One was a bit messy though. Still feel like we are working on instinct rather than training so I will not enter a trial until I feel like we have some training happening! Dova Posted July 6, 2009 Share Posted July 6, 2009 (edited) ;) , Ok I think that should do it, Yeah I had a pretty good day Saturday, actually we had THE BEST WEEKEND EVER , Pebbles & Izzi worked so well & both now have their PT's, I was sooooooo proud of them, if that wasn't good enough we did an obedience trial Sunday & Pebbles not only passed she won it , Pebbles ended the weekend with 3 certificates, 2 trophies & a ribbon. I love my dog's & will be celebrating this one for at least another week. Izzi loves the herding, if I can get it right I hope she can do really well in that but obedience trials bore her witless, so started here we come. Both judges were really nice, one even said on Pebbles sheet "Lively dog good controll, very entertaining" yep had to think about that one, but it was all good & Izzi had "lovely controlled work, well done" & " great run, enthusiastic dog with plenty of tallent" bring on the next trial. Think I better nick off now that everyone has been bored to death, let someone else have a go . Ness hope I got the camera work right for you Saturday & how did you do Sunday ? I know we sometimes get interested people coming and having a little watch of agility but not sure whether spectators are appreciated or not in herding, I'd hate to put anyone off. Spectators are welcome but asked to stand back from the fence, probably a good idea to find the trial manger/sec or someone competing and ask whree a good spot to stand and watch is. I'd love to go and watch some one day. Spectators ae always welcome. Come and watch the trial levels as well as the tests but no laughing from the gallery. The next trial in NSW is at Erskine Park 25 and 26th of July. ETA after Pipers post. We have an area for spectators for both A and B courses. In the B course area you will find dogs , usually the ones waiting to go in, as it is a long walk back to the cars. In the A course and PT areas no dogs allowed except the next dog in but it is right near the cars. You will find the viewing gallery easily by the people in sitting in chairs.
