Yacket's Mum
Can beginners have a go at agility over the weekend? If so is there a brand new beginners section we can enrol in for a bit of fun?
bordacollies4me
Can beginners have a go at agility over the weekend? If so is there a brand new beginners section we can enrol in for a bit of fun? Hi Yackets Mum Only Open A events are being held in the Agility Arena... Open A means they are open to all dogs... even beginners ... but courses would be of open standard... to enter you must be a member of ADAA... check out the ADAA Website for more info about becoming a member.. rules and regs can also be downloaded... Yacket's Mum
Even if I am a member of a dog obedience and we have just starting taking lessons in agility do we still have to be a member of the ADAA?
MolassesLass
Yes, ALL competitors in agility at Dogmania MUST be ADAA members. Edited April 7, 2009 by molasseslass
MolassesLass
Remember this dog sports event is this long weekend. I'm not sure about the other sports but Canine Frisbee can still be entered on the day and first-timers are more than welcome. Spectators are welcome; our dogs are show-ponys, the more you clap and cheer, the harder they go! The Freestyle demonstration on Sunday will be very cool. huga
How exciting, I had so much fun watching last year. If I wasn't having a stall on the day, I would be so tempted to enter Harry in Canine Frisbee. I reckon he would love it
MolassesLass
I'll mind your stand while you're having a go if you want. Can't deny a pooch their frisbee time!
huga
Awww thanks for the offer, but I'm only bringing Lola along. Harry is too much of an energizer bunny to sit still in a stall all day.
greypaws
bump for tomorrow... What a great oppurtunity for newbies to dogsports to come and see 4 different types in the one area? Well worth the gold coin donation entry fee (and huga has some kyuute baby singlets!)

MolassesLass
More pics here Dogmania 4 May 09 I just wanted to clear something up as I've had a few people ask. These are not the photos from Dogmania's official photographer; they will be available from here soon. Some nice photos there fhphoto, it's very hard to photograph fast moving sports dogs - and I'm impressed with the strength of your equipment since it took all those photos of me and didn't shatter.
