Veal Cutlet Bones

Well they jdidn't have veal casserole meat at Woollies so I bought "veal cutlets" instead. They look like giant lamb cutlets. As I was making a casserole I cubed the meat but have two cutlet bones left over - are these bones OK for doggies???

I don't see why not as long as they are raw.

Yup they're raw - and have meat on them too! Just wondered about the shape/size - particularly with two different sized doggies.

I would supervise them as they are eating them just to see how they go, I give my dogs a variety of bone sizes but I know they are both chewers and wouldn't swallow small bones whole.

Okey Dokey - the dogs are in for a treat

They can have them Wednesday when I am at home and can monitor.

Just I have once had a problem with a bone chewed too small and a section lodged under the palettte between the teeth with Rosie (and she's the smaller dog) - so am a bit cautious (lucky I was there and could hook a finger around it and get it out).

Yes I have had that happen to a dog too many years ago. Poor thing was sitting there looking at me with her mouth all funny. Took me awhile to get it out but all was okay. Never ever left her alone with a bone again.
