tez
Hi all! I live in Camperdown, South west Victoria and am planning on getting a retriever pup in the next few months. If anyone knows a good obedience/activity/social group in the general area I would love to hear from you. Thanks in advance.

J...
Definitely nothing in Camperdown, other than the very occasional puppy pre-school run by the local vets. There has been some info re: classes pinned up in the Petstock store at Colac but I haven't paid much attention. I travel to Ballarat for training as we do agility and the instructors there are excellent.
tez
Thanks for the info, Jess and Helen. It looks like I might have a chat to the vets in Camperdown to see if we can get something going around here. Surely there are other interested dog people around these here parts!!! Jess, do you travel far to go to the Ballarat training???

dogdude
Yes, the only two DogsVictoria sanctioned clubs in the Sth West are Warrnambool and Portland. You really need to travel closer toward Melbourne for a wider variety of training choices in clubs (styles and methods etc). Both of those clubs have some really nice people running them.
