Gretel
are they toxic to dogs?We had a big gum tree cut down today and now there are sawdust shavings through the area that my girl likes to have a sniff and chomp on the grass. Will they bt toxic? I wouldn't think the shavings from a gum tree would do any harm. My girls have been helping me with some gardening too... I've got a couple of sick grevilleas I've attacked and they think they are wonderful toys - I keep finding branches around the house
ellz
Many people use shavings as kennel run and stable bedding so I doubt they're toxic. May cause issues if they are inhaled though as foreign bodies in lungs are never a good thing.
Sankari
I have woodshavings everywhere it gets walked in the house and all. I have rabbits and the dogs eat the woodshavings and faeces on the ground and what i walk inside. Never done any of them harm.
widget
I think the only time shavings would be harmful (unless there is an allergy) would be if it was treated wood.
