persephone
ULead PhotoImpact 12 I installed it from the disk which came with my bamboo fun tablet... and have had such fun!! Photoshop may be /is a terrific tool- but for some reason, I don't feel comfortable with it. While this does get very confusing... I find some things suit me more than photoshop- like the 'magic wand' and 'fill' options- seems to do a smoother job, and simpler than PS. The greeting card templates are fantastic- I've been busy doing Birthday cards and there are some good frames to use. Like LightRoom- when working on a pic there are side by side, or split ,Before/after examples- which I need ... can't judge otherwise  Anyway- I'm enjoying it... different things, and a lot of the same things... I now have so many programs- and just use bits from each! PS2 LightRoom Picasa PhotoImpact Paint.Net I am not good at altering exposure and stuff- just like playing !! Ripley
Looks fun, persephone. I have Elements 6 because it has a much better RAW converter (similar to Lightroom's) than Photoshop CS2 which I also have. I think that's enough for me. OK, I'm supposed to be photo editing today so back to it!
experiencedfun
interesting posts.....I am sure the first mentioned program came on a magazine I bought a couple of years ago, doubt I ever loaded it. I had no idea Elements 6 converted RAW images...must try it. I took some unreapeatable shots without checking the setting on my camera and someone had touched it (how dare they) and it turned out all the pics were in RAW. This was about 2 years ago and I now make it a practice to check all setting before each batch of shots. I must take another look at Elements on the weekend.
