WreckitWhippet
There's nothing wrong with having crazy, hyper, mental dogs, but that said, they should be trained to stand still for examination and behave in the clinic. There's nothing worse than dealing with out of control dogs while you are trying to inject, listen to their heart or look in an ear. It's a pain in the arse for the vet and makes their job more difficult. I have a nutcase that would be a prime candidate for a sedative I love her to bits and wouldn't change her for the world, but she knows how to behave at the vets sits quietly in the waiting room and stands still on the table for as long is necessary. claireybell
I call Jesie my ADHD doggie! My house is NEVER quiet and I love it! When Jesie turned 9 months she calmed down the tiniest bit and I was devastated! Glad I'm not the only one in the crazy club!
poochmad
Um...I think the vet needs to read up on his breeds - they aren't called the 'merry' cocker for nothing! Goodness knows what he'd think of a youngish labrador!
oakway
Did you ever top to think that the vet is correct. Just because you accept the dog the way it is doesn't mean the dog isn't hypo. I see lots of dogs that are hypo and the owners think that is the way their dog behaves. Some owners create a hypo dog through the food they feed. As long as your happy with the dog that way.
