glendabenda
My mum has a dehydrator and also cryvac machine that she does not use much and I thought I might borrow them to have a go at making some dog treats. Has anyone done this and do they have any advice/recipes. Will they keep in the pantry etc
Dackel
hi, I don't have a dehydrator but simply made liver treats by slicing the liver in small stips, place them on crease proof paper and put them in the oven first on high and then low to dry them out. I also made chicken strips that way. Kitty and dog both love it. Cheers Petra ad Felix

I cant see why a dehydrater wouldnt work, but I think maybe it would be hard to clean?? Let us know how you go and how long it takes to get the liver hard. Dackel
Hi Takes a good hour on low heat and you get a liver smell in the kitchen for a while, which doesn't bother me. Cheers Petra and Petra
Andisa
I should have looked properly before posting another thread about dehydrators. Will be watching here to see other suggestions.
