PAX Posted February 19, 2009 Share Posted February 19, 2009 Could it be that the dog hasn't learnt to work away from the reward? I think the dog is slow to respond becuase of the excitement of the toy/food reward (no hand to decide for it, it has to think about it), if more distraction training was done the dog would know how to earn the reward and not have to think so hard, just my thoughts.
