jerojath
Thanks TLC, he is getting sicker, can barely walk, collasped on the floor earlier, trying to get through the night so we can see Dr in the morning Pandii if he's that bad, I'd be getting him into the ER! He could end up with a collapsed lung. Sounds like he's pretty bad,
tlc
I think I tend to agree with JJ, he may go down hill even worse over night, might be the best place for him!!

Guest Pandii
Thanks guys didnt see that last night, I wont take him to ED, I am not sitting up there for hours on end waiting for something to happen, they are rude and untrained and have no bloody idea, besides they wont take his current xrays that confirm his pneumonia and we would not be able to get xrays until this morning anyway, all they would do is hold him then process him today, might as well have him home and comfy and take him uptoday I have nursed him through the night and we will call his Dr shortly I am so very very very bored, no walking the coughing kids to school, no walking the dog, if I go outside for more than 5 mins Dyl panics and trys to find me then cant breathe and coughs and is so weak. Sebbis is bored and doing zoomies through the house.

Stuid hospital Dyl has a temp of 39.7, the mix of ABs he is on are not working, he is very weak, cannot even get to the toilet without help, hastn eaten since friday, has lost 3.8 kilos. All I can do is nurse him and keep up the fluids and meds and pray to god he comes good.

jerojath
..... just adding to the sombre tone of this thread, I got given notice at my work last night. Was given two weeks notice but finish up next Friday. My position as Manager was governed by a Committee and the Club has just sold a lease-hold of the premises to a private party. While I knew this was all happening (of course) I had been "assured" my position as Manager would remain secure. After speaking to the Leasee yesterday I became aware that this was NOT the case as he would be handling such responsibilities himself once he takes over the Club. After approaching the Committee about this they finally told me that I was to be made redundant. Seems the pricks have known this for some time but never told me as they didn't want me to find a job and leave the Club before the new leasee takes over! I don't so much care about losing my job, but I'm furious the Committee never gave me some warning and actually LIED to me all this time (they have probably known I would lose my job for as long as 11 months!), after all, I've got three young kids and another on the way. Spineless bastards I reckon... The upside is that I will be able to join you guys on your mid-week walks for a change! Until I find a new job that is... Edit to add: To 'make things right' they offered me a years free membership to the Club. Yeah right.... like I want to go back THERE again! tlc
Bloody hell that aweful!! Will you be ok till you find another job? Maybe you could go work for armagaurd Pandii said they cant get workers?? Will be great to have you come on mid week walks though. Arent some employers shocking in thier ethics they always expect the workers to do the right thing but they never do. Hope something comes up for you soon.

tlc
Hi Munchin, And Tez I see you there as well. Hope you can make it to trianing on Sunday, it is a fun day this week. Hope the oval is not as wet as it was last week, very hard to train in slop!! We have organised a walk for after training, at 11.30 at thunder point, so you hopefully you Jane will be ok to come. How has she been going? Munchin, can you make it on Sunday? SO far I think Me, RJ, JJ are a definate, hopefully a few more will be able to make it and we will hope the weather is ok on the day. Cooper has had 2 walks on his long lead and so far so good tonight was the last of his tablets.
tez
Just catching up on all the posts...WOW...some good but mostly bad horrible things happening to everyone. I hope you are all going to get better and feel better soon. Hospitals can be soooo frustrating when they treat people like numbers and as for workplaces who couldn't give a sh#@! about their staff...well words fail me! JJ, I can imagine how ANGRY and hurt you must be! On a less than positive note, Jane has developed a haematoma under her suture line from her speying so she has to keep her stitches in for another week. I noticed a rather large hard lump on Monday and thought she had developed a hernia from being a quiet sedate puppy...NOT! Took her back to the vets today and thank god she dosent need another op but the vet said that until the haematoma re-absorbs the stitches have to stay in as the pressure could cause a split otherwise.....so no dog school this week, no off lead walks and no playing with other dogs til next weekend(HOPEFULLY). Can't really blame anyone for this except the gene pool that made Jane hyper high energy and a girl who won't say no to zoomies even in the smallest of rooms. SOOOO very frustrating though! tlc
Oh bugger about poor Jane, well Thunder point will always be there the following week. Looks like it may only be a few of us for this Sunday.
jerojath
Hi All! God there's some traffic here all of a sudden tonight! Yeah it sux re: the job but I'm due for a change I reckon! Probably not interested in hospitality again - have owned Pubs/night clubs/strip clubs etc for years before taking on the Club and I'm about sick of the late hours. *thinking* about going back to Vet nursing (I'm a qualified veterinary technician) but not much chance of a job here in town I wouldn't think. I can't groom anymore as after many years dog grooming I developed RSI. Hospiality would be ok I guess in another management position as often these are daytime admin positions. I got offered a job at the bowls club on Cramer St months ago. Money was superb but involved lots of nights. I should have taken it as I ended up doing nights at the Club anyway! Don't worry about me though... got a bit up my sleeve so might just have a little break before job hunting seriously. ;) tlc - glad to hear Coops is on the mend .... and what does one say about Jane? I'm yet to meet her but feel as though I know the little nutter! I'm sure she'll be fine...a fairly common scenario. RJ - yep, keep me posted on that! No concrete decision yet as to the future of the Western Hotel. Munchin - thanks, but no PM received as yet... Pandii - Hope your lad is feeling a little better today. You must be bored s*#@tless at the moment! Will try and get around for a visit... just want to be sure I'm not contagious first!
tez
Bugger is right!!! Poor vet got abit sick of me trying to get him to say Yes to my questions today such as "But it should be ok for her to train with other dogs...right???? and "Well considering she runs herself mental at home then it would be ok to take her off lead up Mount Leura...right???? and "She soooo misses playing with other dogs so a little play would be ok...wouldn't it???? He just sadly shook his head and looked at my bouncing nutty Black Menace and went 'No, No and No' Shes been so naughty lately that we thought we may have to change her name to Cerebus which is the name of the 3 headed dog who guards the gate of hell. If that guy ever retires then I think she'd pass the selection criteria!
tlc
Hi All! God there's some traffic here all of a sudden tonight!
