tlc Posted June 18, 2010 Share Posted June 18, 2010 Hey not sure if this is allowed, if it's not I'll remove it but would anyone local be interested in or know anyone else who might be, in a tall solid pine tv cabinet unit, space for 68 cm tv video drawer, two cupboards below and another open space above the tv space, I can post a pic if anyone is interested. Funnily enough the day mum and I went I talked mum into the satay and the people at the next table had the calamari and mum thought it looked great!! mawson Posted June 18, 2010 Share Posted June 18, 2010 Hi all.... not lurking, trying to catch up on all your chit chat!!!!! I think I started on about page 200 over half an hour ago!!!!! Good to see you are all well, wish I got a chance to get on here more often!! Been working full time since I got back from Scotland and trying to do too many other things in the short time I get away from work!! Not complaining as I'm loving the work!! Maws and Migs are well... for all of you that knew that Migs was unwell.... I think being at the shelter while we were in Scotland helped her enormously!! She is now eating like a pig again and despite losing some weight while at the shelter she is piling it back on again.... and she hasn't vomited in 3 weeks!!!! YAY!!! Tanya... just wondering if you are still looking for as companion for Bruno? Should I still be keeping an eye out at the shelter for you?? I kinda lost track while I was away in Antarctica, then Scotland but I'm back for a while now so can keep you up to date Looking forward to the tracking day next weekend!! So is Maws! Will just be bringing him as I don't reckon Migs would make the best tracking dog!! She almost has to turn upside down to get her nose on the ground!! I think its gonna be a fun day and don't worry Tez, there will be someone there dressed much worse!!!! But cause Maws is a dag too he doesn't care!!!!!!! I know I say it every time but I will try and get back on here more often! It's nice to see what you are all up to and we should organise another big playdate one day soon... Hope so, we should definatley organize a play date, I guess we could just organize a day that suits everyone and then if it is pouring just call it off, anyone up for it and what date and time would suit? Jess is their anytime you could get to town? Also Tez? I'm thinking a Sunday Arvo would probably be practical especially for Tez and Jess whom both have the furtherest to come. Glad Migs is OK, even though I was unaware she was unwell... tlc - When I was a kid I used to keep rabbits, guinea pigs, water dragons, blue tongue skinks, shingleback skinks, various species of tortoise, and over the years I lost SO many of them to domestic cats. They would kill them or injure them and just leave them to die. I caught them killing my rabbits but could never chase them off in time. I think that's when I started hating cats. When I was nursing the clinics used to get me to do all the council euths as all the other staff loved cats and hated PTS. We used to euth all the cats/dogs for the shire and some weeks we would have maybe 40 cats to PTS in one hit! When I was nursing in Kalgoorlie the mining companies were required to manage the numbers of feral cats within their claims, and to keep it all legal like, would employ the local Vet (and me!!!) to go on-site at night and shoot as many cats as we could! They werent allowed to shoot them themselves or bait them, due to the local fauna. I hate killing animals but cats and other ferals (as well as the odd quail ) don't bother me at all. Having said that, I HAVE met some pet cats over the years who were just awesome and I could actually understand why someone would want to keep one as a pet. Not many though! And a Sunday arvo would suit me well, most weeks, for a catch-up. It's been ages (thunder point!) since I've gotten out with all your pups and my baby could use the socializing too. Tenties Posted June 19, 2010 Share Posted June 19, 2010 Hey JJ, my Puddy is the same size as my biggest dog.Oscar has alway's thought of himself as one of the dogs and none of the dogs are all that keen on argueing with him on that :p Oscar holds his own with the dogs and gives one a pat on the bum as they are all going out the door Buzz is the funniest, he screams when he gets a pat he is terrified of Oscar its great to see dogs with respect for other animals.
