Very cute JJ...

It's a bugger it's so hot today, so we can't meet up... Hopefully in next couple of wkends..

Agreed. I'm not going anywhere at the moment - have been to the river and beach the last week and there are so many snakes you can't let the dogs off anyway! I envy NZ dog owners who can walk anywhere they like at any time of year and not have to worry about snakes....

Hi Guys, we had a great day today, we took the pups and went to Bacchus Marsh, (thank god for air cons ) to my friends place where we met up with Bronsons breeder and between us all we had 9 dogs, they all had a ball even though it was hot we spent the majority of the day inside and the dogs were all so well behaved not a snipe among them apart from when Bronson decided he was going to gaurd the esky, he must have been able to smell the chicken wings that were in there!! I sorted him out quick smart, :) moved the esky outside!! Anyway not sure what the temp got to here but it was sure hot up there. Not sure what the rest of the week is meant to be like but I hope the big green shed has cooled down by tomorow!!

Will upload some pics to facebook tomorow if anyone wants to check out our fun day!!

The pups are lovely JJ...Hope Amy is coping ok with this hot spell!

Jane and I had a early morning walk and then did some gardening til 12ish. I know what you mean about the snakes...Nextdoor neighbour had one on her veranda yesterday ( a baby one) and we are right in the middle of Camperdown!!!! So not fair...just when the weather warms up enough so that you don't have to worry about wet feet in long grass, you cant walk in the grass due to the nakey nakes!!! Best get me some pet insurance cos I'm pretty sure Jane wouldnt blink an eye about going a snake if she saw one.

On a brighter note, we now have a half shell so black dog can cool off and we get to dog sit Maddie the Golden Retriever from tomorrow so it should be fun and games for the next 10 days!

Too hot to walk shar peis and Rottis today :dancingelephant:

Time you got yourselves a real dog!

:champagne:

Do they still come with free steak knives??

They are ok, they dont mind if they never get a walk, and if we walk they dont care if they go offlead, pretty easy doggies really

Can someone tell me what the deal is with the East side of the mouth of the Hopkins River?

It's signed as on-lead from November 1, yet every time I go down there at this time of year there is dogs everywhere off-lead all along the river from the carpark?

I haven't been down there since 1st November with the new signs but just wondered if the rangers just turn a blind eye? Or are they like our rangers "not paid enough to work after hours" :( Where exactly does the beach become off-lead?
