The only good thing about being in Melbourne is knowing you will be getting the hell outa there soon! I hate the place and I have been down almost every week for months. They are only first generation captive-bred from wild caught specimens in Darwin. I have waited a loooooong time for these! These were being held-back as part of a research breeding program, but I was able to secure them with some begging! As they were not 'pets' as such, they have not been handled, and when their cages were being serviced a snake hook was always used as a matter of 'policy'. So these two are very snappy and so quick! I keep them in a rack system and as soon as I slide out their tubs...BAM! They appear out of nowhere and want to eat me! I will try and get some pics of the little bastards tomorrow.... I just copied/pasted the above from another thread. Lovely to meet RuralPug today, albeit a brief meeting. It was pouring with rain in Hamilton so we carried out our transaction as quickly as we could and went our separate ways. Must have looked so dodgy, RP, you waiting in the car park.... me turning up and parking right beside you... us both getting out of our cars and meeting... you handing over a 'package' and then me handing over some cash! Then both getting into our cars and departing hastily! It's a wonder no-one in Maccas called the cops! I was half expecting to get pulled over and have my vehicle searched before I'd got out of town! Tenties, I am off to the hospital tomorow for Delta, and then have jobs to do for Saturday and have to get BBQ stuff for Friday, not to mention trying to find time to pay some bills and get the girls to the vets or thier path testing so no Albert park for me, actually I might have to wait till next week for the vets as I really don't think I'm going to fit everything in tomorow! tlc Posted March 10, 2011 Share Posted March 10, 2011 Well what a day I did get the girls to the vets, and in between running around doing jobs for the WGS and my own bits and pieces also fitting in a Delta visit at the hospital, it's been quite hectic. so much for having a rest on my one day off for the week! The new part of the hospital is very nice, big and roomy and lovely and clean and it smells so new. The patients and nursing staff seem impressed, it will take a while for us to navigate our way around the new area as Medical, Pal and rehab as in the new section. I have just been pipped off top fundraising spot for the WGS, one of the other girls her and I were neck and neck with me being in the lead all the way and she was only going to color and she made a statment to all her family and friends that if she could raise $1000 she would shave so her total has gone up and she needs about another $65 and she will be up to her $1000 so I am thinking at this point in time she will be shaving! Well one more sleep and the big day will have arrived, still not nervous. might be int he morning, our total is over $2000 now so I am wrapped with that. My total tonight is $737 one of the other girls is over $1100 now and we made over $300 from the bbq so it has been a good effort over all. Hope to see a couple of you there tomorrow, Linda is Noorat this weekend? I know RJ is away, I haven't heard form Tez, I hope everything is ok with her. I ran into Lizzy and she said she has been flat chat and hasn't been about for a while. She was going to try to make it out to Bunnings to watch the shave. Well, my appointment went well and i must have learnt my tram lesson from RP really well cos i got on one and got there then got on another and got back to the station...the doctor that checked my eye said i was being a bit impatient with my expectations from the op she checked my eye and said that half the stitches hadnt dissolved as yet and besides that its only been 9 days since the op ....i laughed and said i wasnt known for patience and wanted instant results i said it tongue in cheek but im not sure she took it as that :D i have to go back in a month and she said they MAY consider doing the other eye but having one was great ??? well Noorat is Tomorrow so im off to get things ready, have fun tlc and im gunna pop in there and see you on Monday or Tuesday if you are working ???? The day after by CLTB, on Flickr Good on you tlc - looks great, it really brings out your eyes having such short hair. Amazing how temperature sensitive your scalp is when it's that short ;) I'm still recovering from a big weekend trialling - Darcy scored her final Open Agility pass so she's now Darcy Diva CDX ADM JDM ADO JDM GDX. Also 3 passes in Masters with two 2nds - would've been a further 2 more if we hadn't dropped bars but you get that. ;) JJ there was a lovely drivey Viszla at the trial yesterday which I think was a local dog - is it one of your breeding?
