Hi Guys, I'm still about but I have been busy with visitors all last week and organising fundraising for the WGS among other stuff. Was supposed to go to the hospital today to have a tour through the new building but I have decided I have to pull the pin on something and thats it!! I will get to see it soon enough as when it is up and running it should be the wards we visit that have been moved there.

I have had a quick read and it seems there is only a few still osting here, I guess everyone is busy with life in general, but still wish they would pop in from time to time just to say Hi. Shan is in NZ for a week on a little holiday. Don't know whats happened to Lizzy and I am sure Tez is busy with her new man and life in General.

Tanya I seen actually introduced myself to your FIL at work the other day, he was talking to another team member about collingwood and I just knew he had to be your FIL so I introduced myself and had a little chat all about footy of course  he said you are a lovely girl!!

Jess how you doing?

Im sure RJ is flat chat with the house and work.

Maybe we should make a time to have a catch up soon.

Anyone coming to bunnings on 12th March to watch some of the team get shaved?? Kids can get thier hair colored for a gold coin donation, and I think they are having a jumping castle that day too.

Minimum 4ft enclosure, with UVA & UVB lighting as well as a heat source (usually ceramic heat lamps or heat globes).

Brand new would cost around $400 TO SET UP.

They eat fruit & veg, with live food 2 or 3 times a week... cockroaches, crickets, baby mice/rats etc.

Hello Everyone,

Just popped my head in for a few minutes catching up on the latest with you all.

All is well here, except for my 2 yr old daughter who has had a fall and broke her arm. Top it off it was a bad break and required pins so she is in plaster up to her shoulder.

Doggies are all well. Lele is due to come into season soon and I've lined up a Aust Ch Blenhiem stud to cover her. Last try at mating her as she is getting up in years and has served her motherly duties well. She is to be desex and kepted on as a pet regardless of the outcome, although i hope i do get a nice blenheim girl to follow in her mums footsteps. Her older daughter Mystic had her first season the other week which stirred up the entire neighborhood.

Chookies - 28 little chicks have made the journey to the main chicken coop now. Some have already left for new homes others are awaiting for me to be able to sex them before being placed. (Some breeds are more difficult than others) They are 4 weeks old, Australorps, Light Sussex, Orpingtons, x breed layers and a couple Pekin Bantams. I did get a gorgoues Blue Pekin which i intend to run on along with friendly buff pullet. Adding to the collection here, i seem to getting a few Pekins, so cute.

I do have the x breeds still available in pullets if anyone local is looking for health chooks. They are Leghorn x New Hamshire, lay dark brown eggs with a high production rate and are a docile breed ideal for backyards. And as always roosters are always available for free in all breeds meantioned.

I've got more eggs on order and will have more Australorps, Pekins and Wyandottes and maybe a few other large breeds in a few months if all goes according to plan. Enjoy my chick hatching, so do he kids.

Also looking for homes for a couple of goldfish. One of our tank filters died and the little tank is now home to all 5 fish, bit over crowded. These are huge goldfish, bigger than the ones seen in the pet shops. So anyone interested i have 3 huge ones and 2 little ones. Pick 2 of your choice.

Well that's about it for me, housework to do as always. Bake a cake, Hubbies B'day today.

Hi all,

All going well here - just busy  Did our first trial last weekend - was rapt with Darcy's runs - she got a 3rd and a 4th. :) Now just have to wait til the long weekend for Warrnambool

How cold is this weather - I love Summer, I'm going to be so grumpy by Winter I'll need a week's holiday somewhere to defrost

Hope all is going well with you guys - how did your car turn out tlc?

Tenties - hope your op goes well for you!

JJ - given your knowledge of snakes, I wondered about the effect of the early cold weather on them being out and about? The walk around the lake is my favourite dog walk but I pull the pin once the weather warms up cos I'm too worried about snake bite. Just wondering whether you would see them around brackish water like Bullen Merri and whether they'd be out and about as much in this cooler, overcast weather?

Jess the odd cold day wont deter snakes. Once the weather cools down properly they will brumate and puppies get to go bush again!

So while the weather is cooling but we still get the odd warm day, they will still be around.

I am like you.... my dogs are under lock & key during the warmer months - all on-leash exercise.

Thanks JJ I thought that might be the case - snakes don't bother me at all but I'm paranoid about the dogs, especially since you have so little time to get them to the vet

I have to off-lead my guys to keep them fit, at the moment I'm using the park with the occasional beach trip. But they don't free run at the park like they do at the lake/beach. They'll both retrieve until they drop but that repetitive stuff is not good for their joints.

I'm considering buying a treadmill for all of us

Edited by Jess.

Treadmill is a great idea Jess, I reckon your guys would love it! I really limit where we go in the warmer months, I hate the thought of snakes lurking and one of them getting bitten, especially after the scare at TP.

Jess my car seems to have overheated for some reason we are not quite sure of yet, My OH thinks it is because I didn't check the water as it took a fair bit, but I am not so sure. Having it looked at soon by his mechanic mate as I am on hols first two weeks in April and going away so need it to be in tip top condition. Imagine me and 4 dogs stuck on the side of the road what a night mare that would be!!

Is the trial here in W'bool on the long weekend in march? Well done to Darcy too, good job!!

Has anybody heard anything about Bunnings and the worlds greatest shave on the radio? Sean said he heard something on there today which is not true so I hope he has heard them wrong. If anyone has heard the promo on coast can you pm me details of what was said please.

Hopefully you can get it sorted with your car tlc. Having a mate doing the work helps though

Any snake sighting with dogs is way too close for me - I had a way too close encounter with a brown snake and Darcy as a youngster up Mt Leura. Still makes my skin crawl.

Yes there is a trial in W'bool on the long weekend - double back to back agility (all day both days) and single obedience (mornings only).

You said ages ago about trialling in obedience JJ - you still keen?

Yes snake encounters can be very scary, 4 off lead and one with his nose on a snake scared the bejezuz out of me for a very long time and even now!! Still jump at the sight of a stick!!

Well, i did do a post here last night but its gone  oh well, i am home now, cant see much very blurry and very painful.....woke up in recovery very sick , dont know why ????? also had lots of pain which i could only describe as like ice-cream headaches  i was given 5 Morphine injections in recovery plus 2 at the end of the op but none worked, then they gave me a new one, oxy something and it worked  but then i was overcome with nausea so got sent up to a ward instead of the overnight one i was meant to go to, also had low blood pressure and air intake.....did not get to sleep at all last night and its slowly catching up with me.... i will at this stage be needing the walker as im very giddy with it and as i told the Red Cross driver and Mum........i had a quick drinky poo before i left and it hit me :o its horrible really.... maybe i should have a drink or 2 and make the most of it  i have to go back down there on the 11th but this time its the train as the Red Cross is booked up for that day,,, fun with the walker.........not

am off to bed now hope there are no mistakes in this post, ive been spell checking as i go soooo goodnight from me and catch up with you all when i get on next.....

Bloody hell, Linda what have they done to ya? :)

Geez I can feel your pain in that post! I am sure it will all be worth it once the worst of it's over though.

Thanks for filling us in and remember to let us know if we can help in any way.

I will be coming back past your place (late) Sunday night so let me know if I can drop anything in for you etc.

So for those of you not on my FB list, you need to be made aware of just how stupid I am....

Two nights ago I went to the petrol station and FILLED my Turbo-Diesel with UNLEADED!!!! :)

Just had too much going on in my head at the time, I think! :)

So, I ring the RACV to arrange a tow-truck (can't even start it for a short trip) and found my membership had expired as my invoice had been sent to my old address. So out comes the Mastercard to pay for that ($191!), and waited an hour for the tow-truck.

The next day my mechanic had to completely remove the fuel cell, dump the unleaded, blow-out the lines etc and re-fit the tank and fill with diesel.

So $400 later my car is back on the road! What really pisses me off is that this car is so damn reliable, but I screw it up by doing something that stupid!

God I could still kick myself.

Still, she's all fixed now and as good as ever! :cheer:

:( what a nightmare, it is amazing how we do stupid things when our minds are else where, little things like putting fridge stuff in the cupboard etc or then there was a guy who rang work the other day and he had run out of decking oil (water based) so he came in and got more decking oil (oil based) and put it straight over the water based stuff :) So don't feel bad we all do stupid things at times. It just a dam pity that yours was so costly!!

Hey Linda how are you feeling today? a little better I hope?
