Thats a bargain for your tires!!

Did you make it to Lenords or were they shut??

Does anyone here go to the Warrnambool show??

We went to W'Bool show the first year we arrived in town and haven't been back since. Pretty disappointing show for a reasonable sized town.

Will be off camping so certainly wont be going this year either.

But we normally have dogs entered in Melbourne Royal so take the kids to that.

I haven't been to the Melbounre show for years, I used to go a bit when I lived down there. I love it!

I didn't go to the W'bool show last year but I went the year before, I took Bronson for a bit of socialization as he was only 8 9 months old then, it was good for him but I will agree not the kind of show you would expect from a town this size!

No Warrnambool Show here - normally would go in and have a look at the cattle but the entries are pretty low.

Plus W'bool have their double agility trial that weekend so I know where I will be. :(

BTW thanks for the info in that other thread on the ipad tlc - still having a think about it whether I go for a reasonable sized netbook or an ipad... :)

Couldn't believe it! I saw a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever walking down Whites Road yesterday. Who'd have thought!

I have actually seen a few 'uncommon' breeds around town of late, including a Keeshond, Bernese MD, Deerhound, the Toller,

plus a few others I can't recall right now....

Good luck for the local Agility Trials Jess! :) Wish I was in town to get out there for a squizz.

Yes good luck Jess, might pop down for a sticky.

Did you see the other thread in OT started by Anne, it was similar but good info in there about net books and mini note books.

Jj I was at the park today and two big dogs unusual looking from a distance, of course CJ went to see if hey were friendly, they were in a fashion, like my lot said hello then off they went. They were Weimeranas ( I've probably spelt that wrong) another breed you don't see around to often.

We have a gross problem at the moment, 3 times this week there has been someone walking past our place with their dog and letting it toilet on our footpath out the front, and 3 times it has been the length of our block 22m that's a long poo. Twice we have been able to pick it up but tonight no way it was like full on mush the whole length again! I said to Sean we should laminate a sign of some sort and stick it to the fence. I would say the dog is doing it while the owner just drags it along and it's definatley not a small dog. I tell ya there is going to be agro if they are caught in the act. Is there such a thing as dog poop rage. :)

Yeah tlc you are right, there don't seem to be a lot of Wei's around, but there are a couple near me. Beautiful dogs.

Yesterday I saw a lovely vizsla walking down Henna Street, so I pulled a big u-turn, stopped beside them

and bailed out of the car (as you do) and said "Nice Vizsla. I've not seen him around here before!"

and she says "Thanks. That's because we are from Cairns and have only been here for half an hour!"

Seems they were just staying in the Caravan Park there.......

We have had the same 'poop problem' at our place. People letting their dogs crap on the lawn every morning, or,

as in your case, dragging the dog along as it dribbles sh*t the whole length of our house!

I started staking-out my own house and letting rip on anyone who let their dog crap on my lawn and then walk away.

I have yelled at so many people and none of them argued back..... they know what they are doing is wrong.

It's not such a problem anymore, but I can reach the curtains from my bed so if I hear voices or a dog chain etc I can

very quickly check on what's going on!

Thanks Tenties I might go and have a look. I haven't heard of Ozpet litter but it may be suitable for what I need it for. I really like the Breeders Choice but it's so expensive and it just gets thrown out!

Well JJ, i used to use Breeders choice so went into Prime and asked for it and she said the Ozpet is better , i got it and it is better, lasts heaps longer than the others and i wouldnt go near the clay stuff again as it sets rock hard on the bottom of the tray....by tray i mean a mechanics oil change tray lol as Oscar is too big for normal sized trays...very big puddy cat :)

Hey Jj did you ever find out any more about the EUK?? I bought my first bag of Nutro yesterday, still have 3/4 bag of EPH but want to swap them over gradually, At least I know they like it as we had some samples which was great.

Geez what an absolute crappy day, I had to start work early today and it was freezing out there. Supposed to be much the sam etomorow and clearing a bit on Sunday.

Thanks for that tlc - will head for a look. Thanks to you and JJ for the good luck wishes too

It has been a foul day, I reckon it's taken 3 hours for my feet to defrost. Have been on farm all day at a field day and didn't wear enough layers. Brrrrrr!!!

Corangamite shire has recently bought in $200 fines for people not picking up after their dogs or carrying bags, but I wonder what they plan to do about the number of dogs who are allowed to wander and toilet where they like.:laugh: Leaving it on footpaths or people's lawns is just bloody inconsiderate. Pity you can't bust them in the act - a family friend used to pick it up and dump it in their mailbox if he knew where they lived. :p

My two have had fun today - they normally use the outside of the cat cage (which is 6 m x 4m) as part of their daily zoomie run. Sometime today some poor bird has gotten in there and they've obviously spent a considerable amount of the day running around the outside of the cage as it's now a total quagmire!! So bird has been let free, no harm done, and my two ferals have copped a bath after trying to walk into the house with mud to their elbows  It was the state of them that made we wonder what they'd been up to and led me to find the bird.

 sounds like they had a ball. Yes it sure has been cold, I have learnt to rug up at work it can be jsut as cold inside as what it is outside there sometimes.

I wish we could catch the buggers in the act but the thing is our house is kind of down a slope so we cannot see anyone walking the foot path unless we are actually right at the window. I think they live close though I reckon it would nearly have to be the same dog.

Barb I have two bags on back-order and never heard back from the representative, so I'm guessing they've still got issues.

I saw you at work this morning but you were running around like a BAF so left you to it!
